Timeline Event Chronology
10/21/1985
2:00 - 2:10 AM
He arrives nearly a week earlier in the Hill Valley town square early
in the morning. The street is empty and no one guards the door to the court
house now.
Doc tests the front doors to see if they're locked. Nope, as
unsecure as they were in 1945!
Doc enters the court house and goes to the first door, opting to
head up the stairs to the clock. In the attic of the clock tower he sees cogs
and gears, all totally frozen, as wells as two bells with hammers. A door
leading to the ledge outside can be seen. Inside one of the bells Doc finds a
switch.
Doc flicks the switch in the bell. A red light seems to blink from
within the bell, but nothing else seems to happen ...
Doc flicks the switch again to cut the red light. He then checks the back of the room. Nope. Nothing.
Doc goes back downstairs to explore the hidden door in the stairs.
He removes the items inside and begins fiddling with the locked door some more
to unlock it.
While he is doing this he hears the sound of footsteps outside and
then muffled voices:
"Someone must be here! Why else would they set off the secret
alarm? I'll check the jury room! You check the attic and then we'll meet at the
bunker door!"
Deciding that he doesn't have time to get the door opened before the
men get there, Doc quickly inserts the destination date "December 1, 1885
2:00 AM" and hits the activate button.
10/25/1985
á
9:00 - 9:10 AM
Lorraine (Kath) goes to the kitchen and looks
around. She sees a refrigerator, an oven with pots and pans and some cupboards.
There are probably some items inside them.
George (Discokev) enters the copy room. Inside
he finds a copy machine, a fax machine, some paper, and a stapler
Jen looks around the high school parking lot and
sees many cars, school buses, some bikes in a bike rack and Hill Valley High
School in the distance.
George takes a look at the paper. On it is
written "George, the boss wants to see you, butthead. - Biff."
Lorraine looks in the cupboard. Lots of
miscellaneous foodstuffs including Rice Crispie cereal boxes, but nothing too
important.
She looks in the oven. Nope, nothing in
there. The pots and pans are empty as well.
She goes to look in the refrigerator but a note on the door
catches her eye. It says "Lorraine, remember to pick up the cake for Joey tonight
at the store in exterior Hill Valley. - George." Lorraine opens the
refrigerator and sees some alcohol, a roast, and other cold food items.
George goes to Biff's office but Biff isn't there.
George goes to the boss's office and asks
if he wanted to see him.
The boss tells George that he has a package to deliver to the
Bank of America in downtown Hill Valley, and Biff recommended him for the job.
The boss shows George the brown square package. Will George accept the job?
George accepts the job. The boss hands him the package and
George drops his briefcase and accepts it.
Lorraine eats some food and then goes to
the living room.
In the living room she finds a couch,
some chairs, a television on a table and an end table. There are some pillows
on the couch, but nothing more. The television is turned off. Lorraine explores
the table. She finds a TV guide, a remote, her purse, and a bottle of aspirin.
The purse is pretty big, and it appears to be able to hold up
to three small items in it. From the looks of it, there are some items in the
purse.
Jennifer attempts to take a bike from the bike rack, but
finds that all the bikes are chained to the rack. She then hears a bell ring
from inside the High School.
9:10 - 9:20 AM
Lorraine reads the TV Guide cover. Mr.
Belvedere is on the cover! Plus a caption that reads: "The next big thing:
Portable Phones!"
Lorraine then looks inside her purse. She finds a small
wallet with some money inside! There's 50 dollars in it! $50 is added to
Lorraine's available money. She also finds a key ring, with a key to the house
and the family car.
Marty is in the school halls of Hill
Valley High School, near his locker. He is wearing his red vest and holds his
walkman. A bell inside the school has just rung.
Lorraine picks up the purse with the key
ring and wallet inside it and drops the Vodka.
Lorraine then goes to Marty's room. There are posters on the
wall and a bed with a table. She finds a guitar on the bed. She looks in
Marty's closet and finds many assorted shirts and jeans. As she is searching
her son's bedroom, she hears her son's phone ring!
Lorraine answers the phone. A strange foreign voice is on the
other line. The man demands to know where Emmett Brown is. How does Lorraine
respond?
Marty opens his locker and looks inside. He finds his
backpack inside. This pack appears to be able to hold up to three large items.
There appears to be some items in it already. He also finds some various text
books inside, as well as a picture of himself and Jen on the locker door.
Lorraine hangs up the phone, and a few seconds later it rings
again. What next?
Doc is currently in his garage. He wears his lab coat and
holds a pad and pencil.
Marty puts the walkman in his locker and picks up his
backpack. It's pretty heavy. There's definitely something in it.
Lorraine picks up the phone again. The same voice is on the
other line, ranting insanely about finding Emmett Brown. He threatens Lorraine
that he will kill her if she does not tell him where Brown is.
Marty goes to the Science Room, which is his first period
class. As he enters, his science teacher demands to no why he is late again!
Lorraine hangs up the phone and goes to Dave's room. Looking
around she sees a big bed and a table. On the table is a wallet (Dave must have
forgot it when he went to work) and a pack of Skittles. Lorraine searches
Dave's closet and finds some well-worn teenager clothes and a Burger King
uniform.
After listening to this lengthy
explanation, the teacher reminds Marty that his name is Mr. Hoggle, not Mr.
Lee, and says that he does not believe his excuse. He tells him to go to the
principal's office and tell Mr. Strickland why he was late again and refuses to
allow him to sit down in his seat.
Mr Hoggle also asks Marty if he happens to know why Jennifer
Parker hasn't come to class yet.
Doc looks around his garage. He finds a jukebox, a toilet, a
refrigerator, a chair, two beds, a cabinet, a big table with a bunch of
equipment on it and a TV, a whole bunch of boxes and a giant speaker. A
saxophone and a telephone are on the table and a dog bowl is on the ground.
Nothing else can be seen inside the garage.
As Marty walks through the halls to Strickland's office, he
looks into his backpack. He finds his skateboard, some mirror sunglasses and a
wallet with $20 in it! $20 is added to Marty's total amount of money. The
skateboard is added to Marty's available transportation.
Jen rushes into the high school and begins running down the
halls where she bumps headfirst into someone, knocking both of them down. When
Jen looks up, she notices that she has run directly into Marty!
George goes to his cubicle (silly George,
pretending he has an office ), and
looks around. He sees his desk and chair and an old computer and bunch of
papers on his desk. He looks in a drawer. He sees some pens, some paper clips
and other office supplies. Nope! No keys!
I wonder, though, if George happens to remember why he may
not be in possession of his keys. Perhaps he lent them to someone or was made
to lend them to someone? And perhaps they're still in that someone's office ...
Doc is watching TV. How relaxing. There's a news report about
some stolen plutonium. As Doc is chilaxing, he hears his phone ring.
Marty asks where Jen was and where she's going so fast. Jen
replies that she was rushing off to class before she is caught by Strickland.
She then gives him a quick kiss.
Doc's trepidation is warranted. On the other line comes a
foreign voice, demanding a bomb and threatening that they are on their way to
his address to kill him if he does not give them the bomb.
Doc digs through his assorted equipment. He finds a toolbox
with an old revolver in it and a screwdriver. None of this stuff he has
available will make a convincing bomb, though. He'll have to go somewhere to
acquire the items he needs to build a convincing fake bomb.
Marty leaves Jen and arrives at the principal's office
without any more delay. As he reaches the door he notices a note taped to it
that reads "Out looking for slackers. - Mr. Strickland." Will Marty
go into the empty office?
Doc seems to remember leaving his wallet
in his step van. He also recalls his step van being outside the garage. He also
suspects that he may have hidden the key to his car somewhere outside, but he
can't recall exactly where ...
Also, it seems that that toolbox with the screwdriver and
revolver in it is able to hold up to five small items.
Marty examines the office. There is a desk and chair, as well
as two chairs before the desk. He also sees a trash can. On the desk there is a
book "How to Discipline Slackers," and a nameplate that says
"Strickland" on it. Marty also notices that there is a drawer in
Strickland's desk.
Marty's intentions to open the drawer are prevented by the
fact that it is locked! He seems to recall once hearing Strickland say that he
hid the key to his desk in his office somewhere ...
Doc drops the pad and pencil and picks up the toolbox and
goes outside his garage. Looking around, he sees his step van, his welcome mat,
some trash cans overflowing with garbage, and some flower pots. In the distance
he can see the Burger King next door and John F. Kennedy Drive beyond his gate.
In the trash can Marty finds some candy
wrapper, a half-eaten sandwich, and a copy of "Oh La La Magazine - 1985,
Slacker's Gone Wild." No key in there.
The surface of the desk
turns up nothing new.
As Marty rocks the chairs he notices something glimmering on
the bottom seat of one of the two chairs. Yes, the key is taped to the back
seat of the chair!
Doc finds the house key under the mat, but no car key.
Marty drops his backpack and picks up the
key. He goes to the drawer and unlocks and opens it. Inside is an audio
cassette tape - "Sports" by Huey Lewis. He also discovers a flask
with alocohol in it and Strickland's wallet. There looks like there is a lot of
money in it ...
As Marty is finding these things, an alarm on the desk goes
off, screeching "Slacker Alert! Slacker Alert!" over and over again!
Doc examines the flower pots thoroughly. Strangely, he finds
a key, but it is not the key to the step van! He can't seem to recall at this
time what the key is to. Nevertheless, he knows that the key to the step van is
somewhere in that driveway!
Marty drops the key and picks up his
backpack. Marty rips the wires to the alarm and the alarm stops. But he now
hears feet stamping toward Strickland's door. He rushes to the window, throws
it open and leaps out to the parking lot.
EDIT: That required quite some physcial skill. I am going to
award Marty +1 toward Dexterity! Marty's Dexterity Level is now 2.
Jen's footsteps can be heard outside Strickland's office. She
throws open the door but finds the room is empty. The chairs are toppled,
Strickland's desk drawer is open, and the far window is open.
Doc puts the key in the toolbox and then goes to the step van
and attempts to open the door. Success! The door opens and he finds a key
inside on the front seat! But on closer examination this is the not the key to
the step van, but a key to a DeLorean.
Doc puts the DeLorean key in the toolbox
and opens the back of the step van.
Inside he finds a pair of radiation suits, a suitcase, and a dog curled up in a
corner of the van named Einstein. No DeLorean here.
Marty skates to Doc's garage, riding on the back of cars,
through downtown Hill Valley, waving at girls working out in Lou's Aerobic
Center. He hitches a ride on the back of a strange van that seems to be headed
toward Doc's garage. Though he cannot see the driver, Marty sees the passenger
standing in the roof window, waving his hands frantically, screaming angrily.
These guys seem a bit unstable ...
Doc pats Einstein on the head and goes to the front of the
van and hotwires it with his screwdriver. Eureka! The car starts. That took
some brain power to figure out. +1 to intelligence for Doc! Doc's intelligence
is now at 3!
The van of weirdos turns the corner on JFK Drive and passes by Burger King. Marty's got a sharp nose! Doc's garage is just around the corner.
9:40 - 9:50 AM
As Doc starts his van, he hears another van approaching, with
the men from the phone screaming angrilly in the distance.
Doc jumps in the step van and peels off.
However, the van of Lybians is now in hot pursuit, chasing after him as Doc
speeds past Downtown HIll Valley and towards the appliance store in exterior
Hill Valley.
Marty, meanwhile, is holding to the rear
bumper of the Lybrian's van, trying desperately not to let go.
They Lybian in the roof pulls out a rocket and aims it at
Doc's van!
The step van swerves as the Lybian
unleashes the rocket! Whooom! Boom!
It directly hits the
step van!
Unfortunately for the Lybians the rocket
was made of styrofoam. No, these Lybians are pretty clueless when it comes to
buying weapons from people off the street.
In a panic, the Lybians turn around and return to their
headquarters.
Marty's attempted heroics are not for
naught however. Because of this act of bravery I shall reward Marty +1 in
Dexterity. Marty's total Dexterity is now 3.
Marty skates off after Doc and it isn't long before they both
arrive at the appliance store.
Doc pulls over just outside the appliance store as Marty, who
gave the van's bumper a good whack to get his attention, approaches him.
Marty asks Doc what the hell is going on and why no one can
give him a straight answer.
Doc dishes Marty the dirt. Then, putting his finger to his
head, he tries to remember where he put his wallet. Yes, he does recall recalling
it was in his step van somewhere.
Doc searches the glove compartment and
discovers the wallet inside it! Inside he discovers $200! That's quite a hunk
of change. $200 is added to Doc's money.
Doc enters the appliance store. Inside there are many items,
gadgets and gizmos. On sale at the front counter is a remote control, some
walkie-talkies, transistors, microchips, a shoddy bomb casing, and a used
pinball machine.
As Marty waits outside with Einie, Doc
shops inside the store.
The bomb casing is $50. The pinball
machine is $75. The remote control is on sale for 14.95. With tax that's $15,
for a grand total of $140.
Frank: "Would you like to purchase all of these
items?"
Doc pays Frank and is down to $60. He goes back outside.
9:50 - 10:00 AM
Marty ditches Doc and heads back to Hill Valley High School
on his skateboard, Strickland's wallet on his mind. He cuts through downtown
and arrives in the high school parking lot.
Lorraine looks inside Dave's wallet and
finds $20. Since Dave owes her for bringing him into the world, Lorraine grabs
the dough. $20 is added to Lorraine's money, bringing the total up to $70.
Lorraine then searches Dave's clothes, but only comes up with
a piece of paper with a phone number she has never seen on it.
Geroge moseys over to Biff's office and
has look around. He sees a desk and chair. On the desk is a computer and
printer, some accounting books, and a pen and pencil. The desk has a locked
drawer in it.
Also, since I neglected to mention it
before, it seems that the briefcase George had (which is now in the Boss's
office) can hold up to four small items, and it appeared that there were some
items in it already. However, the brown package is not small enough to put in
the briefcase.
George seems to recall putting something important in that
briefcase ...
George leaves Biff's office and returns to his cubicle. He leaves the brown package inside and returns to the boss's office to grab his briefcase. He returns to his cubicle, takes a seat, and peers inside the briefcase.
He discovers his wallet, a bunch of
papers with a sci-fi story scribbled on it, and what appears to be an
"emergency key."
In George's wallet is $60! $60 is added to George's total
money.
George heads back to Biff's office and
tries to stick the emergency key in Biff's drawer. Yes! It fits. He turns the
lock and opens the drawer.
Inside he discovers an "Oh La
La" magazine with an "Accounting" magazine dust jacket, a bunch
of reports hand-written by George with Biff's name on them, and George's key
ring!
George pockets his key ring and returns
to his cubicle and picks up the brown package and heads to the parking lot
outside the workplace.
Looking around, he sees many cars, and in
particular his own car, the McFly Family Car. It appears to be able to
transport 2 very large items.
Lorriane looks closely at the phone #. It
says "I have what you are looking for. Call me. 555-4135."
Lorraine drops the paper and heads to
Linda's room to explore. My, but the McFly children have a nosy mother!
There is a bed and night table. The night
table has a mirror and there are globs of make-up and cosmetics on the table:
eye shadow, lip stick, blush, etc. A telephone sits on another table, with a
book, "How to Pick Up Boys" on it as well. In Linda's closet are
teenage girl clothes. Lorraine finds nothing in the pockets of her clothes.
Under her bed Lorraine finds a hockey mask and a machete. That seems odd ...
As she is exploring Linda's bedroom,
Lorraine hears someone pounding on the front door.
10:00 - 10:10 AM
George gets into the McFly car and starts it. It works! The McFly Family Car is now added to George's current tranportation!
George drives to downtown Hill Valley and
and enters the Bank of America. It is a typical bank, with workers at
terminals, and a vault in the back. There is a desk at the front with a teller
who looks at George as he steps in.
Lorraine drops her purse and picks up the
machete. She peers out Linda's window carefully out toward the front door. She
sees a man with a paper bag on his head, pounding on the door. This guy looks
shady.
George hands the teller the package. She
looks at it and then says "We were not expecting a package from anyone at
Needleco, or Mr. Needles!"
She hands the package back to George. At
that moment a foreign man bursts through the bank's door, crying wildly in a
Lybian accent! "Where is our package? We demand to have our package!"
he cries.
George hides the package under the table. The Lybian enters and approaches George.
"I am expecting a package from Mr.
Needles. If it is not here, then our deal is off and we must kill Mr. Needles.
Do you have the package?"
Doc loads the items he bough into the
step van. There is just enough room for them, along with the radiation suits
and the suitcase. Also, one car = the size of five very big items. So if your
transportation can fit 5 very big items, it can also fit one regular sized car.
Doc sits Einie in the passenger's seat
and then drives the step van back to his garage. He cuts the engine, and he and
Einie enter the garage, bring the new items into the garage, and he begins work
on the fake bomb.
The parts from the pinball machine come
out and go into the shoddy bomb casing. Einie plays with the remote control
like it's a chew toy, then goes to his bowl, which is overflowing with dog
food, and has a snack.
Doc works feverishly and finally
completes the fake bomb! It's not all that convincing, but it seems these
Lybian yokels'll fall for anything!
The Libyan is not pleased with this news,
but spins around and leaves the bank. George sees him through the window get
into a van and drive off.
Lorraine tries to wedge the purse in her pocket,
but it's just too big. She has to leave it behind. Loraine, with the machete
hidden behind her back, enters the living room and opens the front door to
confront the bag-headed man.
The man raises his hands, grunts loudly
and screams: "Is Linda home?!"
George grabs the package and jumps in his
car speeds to his home to check on his family. As he pulls into the driveway he
sees his wife at the front door, speaking to a man with a bag on his head.
"I am Linda's new boyfriend, Jason.
Jason Vorhees. Thank you for the offer of lemonade, but I just wanted to see
Linda. I left my stuff under her bed and I wanted to get it back. I'll come
again later."
Jason turns to leave when he sees George
step out of his car.
10:10 - 10:20 AM
Doc puts aside the fake bomb and goes
through his boxes. He finds all sorts of doohickeys inside. He could probably
build a dozen time machines with all this stuff, if he had a vehicle to make
one out of.
On the TV a news report comes up. It
seems that a Lybian terrorist was spotted at the Bank of America earlier, and
since then Mr. Needles, owner of Needleco, has been gunned down. Police have
reason to believe these two events are connected.
For some reason this "Mr.
Needles" sounds familiear to Doc. Didn't the terrorists he was
negoitaiting with mention his name before?
Jason is a bit edgy when he hears
Lorraine talk about Camp Crystal Lake. Without another word, he dashes away.
George makes sure his wife is okay, and Lorraine asks for a ride to the store
to buy Joey's cake. But first she makes a stop at the bathroom.
Doc leaves Einie with plenty of food and
water and hot-wires his van and starts it once more (too bad he never found
that key! ). He goes to Downtown
Hill Valley and pulls into Statler Toyota. A man named Alan greets Doc, shaking
his hand.
"How is that DeLorean doing that you
bought from us a few months ago? Can we interest you in another car?"
Lorraine gets the hockey mask from
Linda's room and hides it and the machete in the bathroom. She goes back to
Linda's room and grabs her purse and returns to the bathroom to examine it.
There is a toilet, sink, bath, and mirror. Inside the cabinet there is some
various medicines and on the sink there is a bar of soap, a brush, some
toothbrushes, and some perfume.
George, meanwhile, enters the house and
takes a seat on the couch. The package has piqued his interest and he wants to
know what is inside it. He peels back the brown paper and opens the box. He
pulls out the item inside ...
It is an auido cassette tape. Also, he
finds a scanned picture of Emmett Brown's ID and a piece of paper with the
words "All that I know is recorded on the tape. DJ."
Lorraine takes a look at the medicine.
She finds Aspirin, Nyquil, Dayquil, Icy-Hot and a bottle of Moxie - For Courage
in the cabinet.
She then brushes her teeth and fixes her
hair and splashes on some perfume. Being a smelly drunk's fine for snooping,
but not for picking up celebratory cakes!
George explores the house looking for a
tape player. Yes, there appears to be a radio tape player by the TV in the
living room.
George puts the cassette
in the player and hits play.
"Hello ... Is thing on? Yes, from
what I know he is a friend of one of my worker's son. My worker is George
McFly. His son's name is Martin. I do not know of any strange experiments he
may be conducting. The copy of his ID you requested is inside. From what I have
gathered he has not been at his home for the past week, and it seems he is
searching for a connection to plutonium. That is all the information that I
could gather. I expect payment for this information upon delivery of this
package."
The cassette ends.
10:20 - 10:30 AM
Doc is quite happy with his DeLorean, and
proceeds to warn Alan about the Libyans who are are looking for him. He asks
Alan to tell them that the item they want is in his garage.
Doc then gets in his step van and heads
to the abandoned warehous in exterior Hill Valley.
It is an old, delapidated warehouse,
pretty run down. Will Doc go inside?
Doc gets out of the van and looks inside
the windows of the warehouse. There are some scattered boxes and what appears
to be a car inside the warehouse (thought it is difficult to tell through the
crud-covered windows). The floor seems pretty sturdy.
Doc turns the knob to the warehouse door,
but it won't turn. It is locked!
Doc takes the unknown key from his
toolbox and slides it into the lock. A perfect fit! He opens the door and steps
into the warehouse.
Boxes are scattered about and in the
center of the warehouse is a 1981 DeLorean, fixed with all sorts of gizmos and
some rear exhaust vents. Yes, Doc remembers equipping the vehicle with these
things.
Doc's detective skills in finding the
DeLorean in the abandoned warehouse earn him a +1 in intelligence. He now has a
total intelligence of 4!
Lorraine hears George call to her, but
she sneaks off to explore the main bedroom (clearly, she is too drunk to
remember all the items she has accumulated in her house over the years). George
wants her help in figuring out the cassette, and often finds that Lorraine is
more perceptive when she is plastered.
Lorraine quickly explores the main
bedroom. A his and her bed can be seen, separated by a night stand. On the
night stand is a bottle of liquor and an Aspirin bottle, plus some scribbled
papers. There is also a TV in here and a dresser with some clothes in it. Under
some of the clohes in one drawer is hidden a flask. On top of the dresser is
George's other glasses.
In the closet are different types of
clothes for Lorraine and George. There are suits for George, as well as some
relaxing clothes, as well as a few different colored dresses for Lorraine and
some relaxing clothes.
Doc investigates his DeLorean, using his
key to the car to unlock the door. After careful inspection it appears that
everything is all right and that the car has not been tampered with.
Doc puts his suitcase from the step van
in the DeLorean's trunk (which, I neglected to mention, can hold up to 1 very
large item). He then starts the DeLorean and puts it in the step van.
The DeLorean time machine is now added to
Doc's current transportation!
He locks up the warehouse and then gets
in the step van and drives to the Burger King. Drive-thru or order in?
Lorraine reads the scribbled papers. They
are sci-fi stories written by George. Resisting the urge to to take one last
swig from the flask, she decides to change clothes into something more
presentable for her hubby. She dresses in a blue floral dress (if Lorraine does
not like this particular apparel she can blame my sister, who is here helping
me decide what to dress her in).
Lorraine then puts George's glasses in
her purse, but first she must remove one of the three items (key ring, wallet, or
Nyquil) to make room for it (the purse can only hold 3 small items).
10:30 - 10:40 AM
Doc gets in line and waits until he is
able to order. He gets to the front of the line and orders a cheeseburger,
small fries and a chocolate shake. Doc can see Marty's bro Dave preparing some
food in the back. Dave doesn't seem to notice Doc.
Doc gets his food and is told by the
cashier that he owes $5.
Lorraine drops the wallet and puts
George's other glasses in her purse.
Lorraine returns to the living room and listens
to the cassette with George. She suggests they go to the store to buy Joey's
cake. After complimenting Lorraine, George wonders if they shouldn't contact
Marty or Doc about it. Lorraine, admittedly drunk, now realizes that this is
the best course of action. They decide to drive to Hill Valley High School in
the McFLy family car. Meanwhile, new sparks are begining to rekindle between
the McFly parents. But perhaps that is just the liquor talking!
They drive to Hill Valley High and arrive
in the school parking lot.
Doc pays the cashier $5. $5 is removed
from Doc's money. He now currently has $55.
Doc sits down and begins
to eat cautiously.
Just then a strange man with a paper bag
on his head enters the Burger King. He cries: "I must speak with Doctor
Emmett Brown immediately!"
Marty heads for Strickland's office,
being very careful to not be spotted by anyone. He looks into Strickland's
office when Jen jumps up behind him and asks where he's been!
Marty asks Jen to keep quiet. He really wants
to grab Strickland's wallet. He looks into the office and discovers a man in a
suit and tie with sunglasses looking around inside! The man glances up and sees
Marty through the window!
"Hold it right there, young man. I
want to talk with you!"
Marty asks the man in his most innocent
voice what he wants.
"I am looking for some men from a
secrect organization named NIFADOT. I have reason to believe that one of them
has taken a job as a teacher in this school and is trying to gain information
from a particular student named Martin McFly. This man now calls himself Mr.
Hoggle, but his true identity is Mr. Lee. Do you know anything about
this?"
Marty, shocked by this revelation, tells
the man that Mr. Hoggle and Marty are in the Science Room. He tells the man
that Strickland will not appreciate him exploring his office.
The man replies: "I'm not too
worried. I am Mr. Strickland's brother, Reiley Strickland. I am investigating
this entire school. Please stay put, young man, while I go apprehend Mr. Hoggle
and talk to this boy named Marty McFly."
Reiley Strickland rushes out of the
office to the Science Room, leaving a shocked Marty and a too-petrified to
speak/act/move/be in the scene Jen in the school halls. Marty can see
Strickland's wallet still in his desk drawer ...
Marty reassures Jen, who wonders who was
just talking to Marty, as Marty hurries into Strickland's office and looks
inside Strickland's wallet. $100! Added to Marty's money. Leaving Jen to fend
for herself, Marty leaps out the window once more and into the parking lot.
Here he sees a his parent's car has just
pulled into the lot!
10:40 - 10:50 AM
Meanwhile, Reiley returns to Jen and
demands to know where that kid went and just who she is.
"Why I need to see him I can't
say," he replies. "They would kill me if I told them, and I've no way
to defend myself without my machete. I must apprehend him and bring him to the
Clayton Ravine. Please, kind frazzle-haired, sir, show me to this Dr. Brown. He
was not at his address."
Doc spills the beans about his identity, hoping to get the Libyans (who he suspects paper bag man works for) off his back.
"I cannot say who I work for,
sir," replies the man. "I must bring you to Clayton Ravine to meet with
them, however. I also must take the keys to your DeLorean away from you, by
request of my employers."
The man reaches to snatch the keys from
Doc's pockets. Though his face can't be seen, the bag man does not appear to be
enjoying this task thrust upon him.
"Jennifer Parker?" he asks,
flipping through notebook. "You're on my list, too. I think you should
come with me to the police station in exterior Hill Valley, young lady. I want
to talk with you."
The man goes to take Jen's hand and lead
her toward his vehicle.
Doc tosses a milkshake in Jason's face
and leaps over the counter. Quite a feat for a 65 year-old man without having
been rejuvinated in the future. +1 Dexterity for Doc!
He asks Dave where the employee exit is
and Dave points wildly at said door in the back. Doc runs to the door and
bursts out to the drive-thru outside, stepping over flattened boxes, and around
a trash can.
Jason, only now realizing that the paper
bag protected him from the shake, gives chase leaping over the counter and
heading after Doc.
Doc jumps in his step van, hotwires it
once more, and takes off to Twin Pines Mall.
Paperbaggy gives chase, but since he does
not have a car he is forced to go to a bus stop and loses Doc altogether.
As Jason waits for his bus, a man steps
from out of the shadows, a gun in hand, and fires.
Jason's last words: "Tell my story
to those who ask. Tell it wise and tell it true. I was just a lover of
murdering half-naked teenagers. I regret nothing."
The mystery gunman rips the bag from Jason's
face as a memento and says "We do not accept failure."
He then slinks off back into the shadows
and disappears.
(For more on Jason, see any of the Friday
the 13th sequels. For now, this ends his role in the BttF RPG.)
10:50 - 11:00 AM
Marty (conveniently) steers clear of his
parents.
Jen is dragged by Reiley Strickland out
of the school to the parking lot and Marty watches in the distance, in case she
needs his help. He watches Reiley force Jen into the backseat of a black car
and then go around to the front of the car to get in and drive off.
Doc arrives at the Twin Pines parking
lot, noting that it might be a good place to try out his time machine later.
Doc then decides to tell the beans about Paper Bag man (while keeping the
deteails of his involvement with terrorists and plutonium clandestine) to the
police and heads for the station in exterior Hill Valley.
Doc enters the front doors and asks a
secretary for a detective he knows, Detective Reiley Strickland. Unfortunately,
it seems that Reiley has been missing for the past week and no one knows where
to find him ...
Doc wonders if he should tell a different
officer he is less friendly with ...
Marty hitches a ride on the back of the
bumper of Reiley's car as he gets in and drives off. However, they don't appear
to be going to the police station. Instead, he takes them to the Clayton
Ravine.
There he stops the car and gets out. He
is about to turn around to open the back door to get Jen. He's sure to spot
Marty ...
Marty lies on his skateboard and rolls
himself under the car just as Reiley turns around and opens Jen's door.
Jen demands to know who Reiley is (clearly, she was too distracted by Marty's dimples to pay attention to his spiel in Strickland's office earlier) and where he is taking her.
"Someone wishes to speak with you,
my dear," replies the man. He leads her by the shoulders toward a man, a
Richard Nixon mask over his face to conceal his identity. The man smokes a
cigarette through the mouth of the mask.
"Who is she?"
Nixon-mask asks.
"Parker,
Jennifer."
"I see. Tell me, dear, all you know
about Doctor Brown," he says to Jen.
Doc finds this odd. He tells the
secretary to tell the police to be on the lookout for a crazy paperbag wearing man
making demands of people. Doc then jumps in the step van and heads to the McFly
home to check on the McFlys.
He gets out and knocks on the McFly's
door, but no one answers. He also notices that the McFly's car is not in the
driveway ...
Jen is too stunned to speak. Or maybe she
remains tight-lipped for the sake of Doc Brown. What am I, a mind-reader?
Whatever the case, Jen
does not reply.
"If you do not give us the
information we want, my dear, Ms. Parker, then I am afraid we have no more use
for you," says Nixon-mask.
He grabs Jen by the shoulders and leads
her unwillingly toward the edge of the ravine.
11:00 - 11:10 AM
Doc tries the door knob and finds that it
is opened. He steps into the living room, but no one is present. He looks
around and sees these items in the living room.
Jen's one tough cookie. Even faced with
the threat of being tossed in a ravine she won't squeal.
Things are getting tense. Marty gets out
from under the car and looks inside it. He sees a gun on the passenger's seat
and Reiley's notepad on the driver's seat. The car's doors are unlocked.
Doc listens to the cassette in the brown
package. Learning that Needles was working for they Libyans to collect info about
him for favors in return, Doc becomes outraged. Remembering that paperbaghead
had mentioned bringing him to the Clayton Ravine, Doc decides that he wants to
know what's so important there.
But first he checks his revolver in his
toolbox. Sadly, this thing hasn't worked since the mid-50's!
Marty drops his backpack and grabs the
gun from out of the car and turns it on Nixon-mask and Reiley.
"Freeze!"
The two man look at Marty and stop just
before they have hurled Jen over the ravine.
"It's that kid from
the school!" cries Reiley.
"It's Marty McFly," said
Nixon-mask. "I've been wanting to talk with you about your friend, Mr.
McFly. There is something he is working on that has piqued my organizations
interest."
Doc keeps the gun, putting it in the toolbox
and returns to his van and speeds toward Clayton Ravine. As he arrives he sees
a black car. And Marty. Pointing a gun at a man he's never seen before and a
man wearing a Nixon mask. Man 1 holds Jen and Nixon-mask has just finsihed
speaking.
Marty calls for Jen to come behind him
for protection and she hurries over to him, in tears.
Marty demands to know who these people
are and who they are working for. Nixon-mask answers:
"My organization is called WADOTAT.
Our identities are none of your concern, Mr. McFly. I suggest you put the gun
down."
Meanwhile, Doc drops his toolbox and
picks up his revolver and, unnoticed, creeps out of his van.
Marty moves Jen behind him and refuses to
put the gun down, demanding that Nixon remove his mask.
"That is not going to happen, Mr.
McFly," says Nixon, then, turning to Reiley, "Grab his gun!"
Doc, meanwhile, has crept up behind Marty
and Jen and tosses his useless revolver at Nixon, smacking him in the face and
sending him to the ground. Doc grabs the two and they all head for the van.
Marty's backpack and Doc's toolbox remain at Clayton Ravine for the moment.
"Get him, you idiot!" cries
Nixon to Reiley, and Reiley gives chase!
11:10 - 11:20 AM
Marty gives Doc his gun and grabs his
backpack. There is room for the gun in Doc's toolbox, if he wishes ...
Meanwhile, Marty, pulling Jen along,
rushes into the passenger's side of the van. Reiley continues his pursuit.
Doc fires at Reiley's leg and maims him.
He puts his gun in the toolbox and jumps in the van and takes off to the
pollice station. Doc asks if they're all right and what happened.
Jen asks Marty the same question. Who are
these guys?
Marty has no answers himself, and wonders
what Doc's involvement in all this is. No one seems to know what the hell is
going on!
Doc is as clueless as Marty as to the
identities of these men. He tells Marty about paperbag man and the cassette he
found in Marty's home in which George's boss sold himout. Marty tells Doc about
what happened to him. How Reiley was snooping in Strickland's office and
searching for men from an organization named NIFADOT and that Mr. Hoggle/Lee
was a member trying to gain information from Marty!
Doc, however, has met Reiley Strickland
before, and knows that man was not him. The two organizations, NIFADOT and
WADOTAT puzzle Doc. What are they? What do they want with him? ANd how are the
terrorists involved?
Marty's a little worried about Mr.
Hoggle, since he sent Reiley to him, and Reiley has now been shown to not be as
he seemed. He also wonders if NIFADOT may be against WADOTAT and a form of good
they can turn to, or if they are both competing evil entities.
A discarded Burger King cup on the road
makes Marty muse about life and his place in it.
Marty and Doc and Jen arrive at the
police station and hurry inside. The secretary looks up at them and asks:
"You! You came in here about the paperbag guy, didn't you! We really need
to talk with you!"
Lorraine and George start getting
romantic as Marty slips out of the school and is pulled to the Clayton Ravine.
Having not noticed Marty, they then quickly rush toward the science room. They
hurry through the halls, past the principal's open door, and throw openthe
science room door.
The class is full of children, but no teacher!
Marty is nowhere in sight, and neither is his girlfriend, Jennifer Parker!
While Marty concentrates on keeping
Jennifer calm, Doc asks, "What happened?"
"The man was a camp counselor at
Crystal Lake. He often wore a hockey mask on his face because he had sever acne
problems, but when that was not available he would wear a paper bag on his
head. His name was Jason Voorhees and his body was discovered in a bus stop on
JFK Drive. He was shot. You have to tell us everything you know this
instant!"
Before Doc can respond, a police officer,
having overheard the conversation, steps forward and approaches the group.
"I'll take care of this," he
says. "Sir, would you kindly step outside with me so we can talk in
privacy?"
11:20 - 11:30 AM
The police officer seems eager to get Doc
and Marty and Jen out of the station and alone, but it's difficult to read his
true intentions.
George takes Lorraine's wrist and leads
her down the school halls. Looking around, they see all sorts of class rooms that they didn't notice before, as if
they just now appeared!
As they explore the halls, they hear a
terrified scream come from the girls bathroom!
Jen, using her women's intuition, tells
Doc that she believes this man can be trusted.
Doc, however, is not as trusting as Jen,
not after everything he's been through! Doc says they know everything that he
does.
"Please, Doctor Brown, it is
imperitive we discuss this privately," says the officer. Then, whispering in
his ear: "WADOTAT is becoming more aggressive. It is only a matter of time
before they feel the need to kill you. I have some information that you may
find helpful."
George, pulling Lorraine along, rushes
toward the sound of the scream. He throws open the girls bathroom door and
looks inside (George has never been shy about peeping in on girls, after all!).
It is a normal bathroom, with stalls and
toilets and sinks and a mirror. And a teenage girl leaning against the sink,
petrified. George nor Lorraine have ever seen her before.
Doc decides to step outside with the
officer, making ready to grab the gun from his toolbox if he needs it, and Jen
and Marty stay close behind him.
Once outside, the man leads them around
to the back of the station.
"Let me first explain who I
am," says the man. "I am Detective John Luke." He shows them his
badge. Yes, it's his picture, with the name 'John Luke.'
"I learned a few years ago of the
WADOTAT organization. They're main goal is not clear to me, but it is clear they
have grave intentions for the world. It has been very difficult for me to track
them, but it seems they have come here searching for something particular. You,
Doctor Brown. They hired the Lybians to gather information on you and deliver
it to them. But the Lybians, it seems, had their own intentions to force you to
build them a bomb. These plans did not sit well with the WADOTAT president. The
Lybians have since been disposed of.
"What information they did gather is
not clear to me either, but it is obvious they were searching for something
they called the 'DMC-12 Project.' We have not been able to gather information
about this whatsoever, but the president of WADOTAT greatly desires to procure
this project.
"You see, we have been hunting the
WADOTAT organization for many years, through many years! Yes, I came
to this place some months ago and became a detective as a cover to follow
WADOTAT. But the truth is that I am from the future, the year 2985, and have
been traveling through time for the past few years, hunting WADOTAT, who has
procured its own time travel apperatus.
"Now it seems that something in Hill
Valley 1985 has caught thier attentions. Something that is linked to you,
Doctor Brown."
She doesn't say a word, but only points a
trembling finger at the opened stall before her.
11:30 - 11:40 AM
George grips Lorraine's hand to protect
her and make sure she's actually still there (she's been so quiet since they
got to the high school that one would think she wasn't around!).
George and Lorraine
approach the stall and peer in.
Poor Mr. Hoggle. His body is curled up
behind the toilet. It's a sickening sight, but the McFly couple can't help but
notice a piece of paper in his lifeless hand.
Reassuring the girl that Hoggle's
murderer is long gone (though by her frightened expression, it's clear she
isn't exactly sure that George isn't Hoggle's murderer!), and taking the note
from Hoggle's hand, asks if the girl knows Marty.
"That's the kid that's always
late," says the girl. "He came to science class late this morning and
Mr. Hoggle sent him to Strickland's office. Maybe Marty killed Hoggle! He
always seemed like the crazy type, riding on the back of cars and stuff. And he
always hung out with that crazy scientist! And what's up with his girlfriend?
He treats her like a plot device half of the time! And I heard his dad was this
huge loser and his mom was this smelly drunk ..."
As the girl rattles on, George reads the
note: "Beware the man with the Nixon mask. He wishes to destroy NIFADOT
and all its people. Brown must be found beforeeee" - the note turns to
scribble here.
George goes to Strickland's office and
looks around. He sees the desk with the opened drawer, the chair, and the two
fallen chairs, as well as an open window, plus all of the items in Strickland's office.
No one is inside. He soon hears footsteps
in the hall, and someone calling "I want this entire building cordoned
off! No one enters or leaves! Now!"
George leaps out the window and runs and
gets into his car.
I don't know if I want to speak for Kath
(not that I think she'd want to stay in the cordoned high school ...), so we
might have to wait for her to post if she would like to follow you ...
Until then, +1 for that feat of Dexterity
to George!
Marty puts 2 & 2 together, thinking
that Luke is likely a member of NIFODAT, and says as much.
"NIFADOT!" cries the man with a
start. "Are they here? In 1985! They have no business here! They were
instructed to stay put at their post in '55! Lee, that miserable worm! I should
have known he wouldn't obey! Where are they? If they're in 1985 then they must
be searching for the project as well!"
Marty is shocked by this, but then
recuperates by telling Luke that that he may have tipped off Reiley Strickland
about Lee and that Doc shot Reiley in the leg at the Clayton Ravine.
"Reiley Strickland is the assumed
name of one of WADOTAT's primary agents," explains the man. "The
really Reiley Strickland is likely dead. If Mr. Lee has been your science
teacher since school began, then that means NIFADOT has been in 1985 for at
least a month. I can't say anymore, but I suggest you keep an eye open and page
me with this if the need arises."
He hands Marty, Doc and Jen each a small
pager and they slip them in their pockets.
"I will search for NIFADOT and see
what information they have discovered," says the man, who then hurries
away, gets in his car, and drives off.
11:40 - 11:50 AM
Lorraine gives the girl a slap for the
insult, and then hurries after George and jumps out the window after him and
joins him in the car.
(Duly noted. Good thing you were here to
slap that girl, 'cause I don't think George was going to defend your honor!)
EDIT: Dur! +1 Dexterity to Lorraine for
following her hubby out the window, and giving that girl what she had coming!
Lorraine asks George where they should
go. She could really use a drink after all this craziness (which gives me an
idea for a new location in exterior
Hill Valley).
Lorraine wants to go to the cake store to
buy Joey's cake, but George doesn't reply. He stares ahead blankly, perhaps too
exhilerated from his jump out the window to speak.
Meanwhile, a bunch of men in blue suits
are starting to circle the high school, barricading the exits. If they want to
get out of there, they'd better hit the gas soon!
Marty pawns Jen off on Doc (where's a
Sleep Inducer when you need one?) and jumps on his skateboard and follows the
guy on the back of his car. He wants to figure out who this dude is and what
the DMC-12 project is.
They drive down River Road Tunnel and out
the other end where Luke pulls off to the side of the road and opens his door
to get out of the car.
Lorraine drags George into the back seat
of the car and takes the wheel. They're getting out of there, next stop: the
Cake Store (finally)!
Swirving through the parking lot,
Lorraine blasts through the exit, the men in blue suits irate that she escaped,
but too busy with the school to follow her.
Driving at a steady 20 MPH and with her
left blinker on the whole way, Lorraine manages to get them to the Grocery
Store safely where she pulls into the parking lot.
Marty grabs his backpack and board and
hides in the bushes on the side of the road.
Luke gets out and looks around, but does
not see anyone. He then goes to a wall of the River Road Tunnel and, swiping a
card through a nearly imperceptible slot, opens a secret door with steps
leading down. He enters, closing the door behind him and locking it.
Lorraine gets out of the car and looks
around outside the store. It is a parking lot with a few cars in it (too early
on a Friday morning to have too many people out shopping for food). She also
sees a man in a booth on the corner of the store with a sign that reads
"Interesting Items Wanted: Will Make Trades."
Lorraine ignores the interesting items
guy (probably a rip-off anyway) and enters the grocery store.
11:50 AM - 12:00 PM
A typical grocery store. Yeah, I'm not
making a list of all the stuff they have here. If anyone wants something from
the store, just ask and I'll let you know if they have it. There's probably a
cake section somewhere, if Lorraine wants to pick up her specially ordered
cake.
Also some cachiers where you can pay. I
believe Linda might work as a cashier here ...
Lorraine goes to the counter of the cake
section to pick up her cake, giving her name to the man there. He finds
Lorraine's cake an dputs it in a pink box and hands it to her - she hangs her
purse on her shoulder and accepts the cake.
She then asks the man if Linda is working
today and the man nods and points to a cash register in the distance. Yes, it's
Linda, doing her job of ringing up items for customers.
Marty peers into Luke's window to see
what he finds inside. No guns, but an interesting looking red notebook.
Checking the door's handle he finds that the door is locked.
Lorraine, seeing that Linda is safe, and
being in a drunken stupor, charges out of the store without paying and jumps in
her car and peels off.
She drops the cake off in the kitchen
(hopefully the fridge).
She grabs the machete from the bathroom
and throws it in the trunk of the car.
She picks up her purse from the bathroom
again and hurries back to the car and drives off toward the River Road Tunnel
to see if maybe Marty is there (Lorraine's ability to guess where her children
are in Hill Valley are heightened by her drunken state).
The car squeels to a stop in front of
Marty, who is trying to jimmy the door (unsuccessfully) of a car with the
earpiece of his sunglasses.
bttf44 is now in the
game as Biff Tannen.
Biff is in the George/Biff's Workplace,
goofing off in the lounge (bttf44, consult the 1985 map - particularly this one).
It is the late morning of Friday October
25, 1985, after 11:00 AM. Biff has a can of beer in hand, nothing in his
pockets, and is wearing a gaudy suit.
What Biff would like to do next is up to
him.
Okay, I'm going to do
this one post at a time.
Lorraine feels pretty bad about not
paying for her cake. Maybe I should giver her a mission accomplished, anyway?
... I think I might have missed a few missions throughout the game, so I'll
hold off until further review.
Seeing her son alive and well makes
Lorraine pass out (but it could be that she just had too much booze).
Marty catches Lorraine and puts her in
the backseat of their car with George, then drives it to the other side of the
road so it won't be associated with Luke's.
12:00 - 12:10 PM
Marty puts George's keys
in his other pocket.
Marty goes up to the
mystery door in the tunnel.
Doc, realizing that the DMC-12 project
and the DeLorean are connected, can't believe that they have learned of the
time machine.
Doc, unnoticed, follows Marty and Luke's
car in his van, w/ Jen along for the ride. He gets out just as Marty's mom has
fainted and Marty has put her in the car and parked it on the side.
Doc and Marty say hi to each other. Marty
wishes he didn't bring Jen along for this mission. He explains to Doc where
look went and asks if he brought his tool box.
Doc tells Marty he wasn't going to leave
him or Jen alone, and suggests to Jen that she join Marty's parents, who will
probably take her home when they come to (a drunk and a wimp's better than
these all these crazy organization!).
Doc grabs his screwdriver from his
toolbox and asks Marty to lead him to the secrect door.
Marty leads Doc to the door, explaining
how Luke got in.
Biff's voice wafts through the air from
the heavens, shocking Marty and Doc, but it quickly fades.
They approach the door and Doc tries to
jimmy it with his screwdriver.
Doc quickly explains to Marty about his
time machine and how he believes it is the DMC-12 project mentioned, his
involvement with the terrorists and his intentions to trade a bomb to them for
plutonium to power his time machine.
Marty can't believe Doc invented a time
machine. He always knew he was sharp as a cleaver, but this?
He doesn't know what the two
crazy-acronym organizations are up to or why they want to stop Doc and his time
machine.
He wonders if he should use his pager to
swipe and open the door. Is that even possible? I mean, it's a pager, not a
card!
Doc thinks they'll have to go the
Lybian's headquarters to get the plutonium now that they've been disposed of.
Doc suggests Marty swipe the pager
through the card slot.
Nope, the big hunk of plastic
doesn't fit in the slot. This is just a means of contacting Luke. Marty &
Doc look disappointed.
Jen tries to open the car to the McFly's
car, but it won't open.
Biff leaves his lounge and heads to his
office. He sees a desk and chair. On the desk is a computer and printer, some
accounting books, and a pen and pencil. The desk's drawer, which was once
locked, is now open and has inside it a "Oh La La" magazine with an
"Accounting" magazine dust jacket and a bunch of reports hand-written
by George with Biff's name on them.
George's key ring, which he had borrowed
to drive his car that day, is missing!
Jen can't get the door open and heads
over to Marty and Doc.
Jen tells M & D that she feels better
with them, since she doesn't trust Marty's drunk mother.
12:10 - 12:20 PM
Doc suggests they use the pager to page
Luke so he opens the door for them.
Biff, furious with his stolen borrowed
keyring missing, decides to leave the workplace and drive to the McFly home. He
goes down to the parking lot, but has no transportation whatsoever. Should he
walk there, or maybe he'll go to the nearby bus stop and hop on?
Marty shrugs. How's he supposed to know a
pager isn't an actual page?
Marty asks Jen if she will give his
parents the keys to their (he hands her the keys and she pockets them) and
explain all that has happened to his parent when they awaken.
Marty asks Doc if they should try to find
the terrorist's hideout.
Doc agrees that they should search for
the terrorists' hideout and he wants to head to the future and see what all the
hubbub's about.
They look eager to get
in Doc's step van.
Jen looks as if she hasn't decided if she
will obey Marty's request to stay behind with George & Lorraine.
Marty agrees with Doc that they should
find the Lybians headquarters. He's eager to go time-jumping, that's for sure!
Plus, he wants to get
his hands on that plutonium!
Doc seems a bit nostalgic to return to
1955. He suggests they return to the abandoned warehouse where he hid the
DeLorean to look for clues.
Marty agrees and waves goodbye to Jen.
Marty seems to remember a portrait of a Mr. Lee who taught at Hill Valley years
ago, and looked just like Mr. Hoggle. No wonder he confused them! And no wonder
Mr. Hoggle never liked Marty, always revealing his true identity whenever they
met!
Doc, too, waves bye to Jen. Doc checks to
make they have all their items and they get in the stepvan and drive to the
warehouse.
Marty turns on Doc's radio and listens to
it. He's singing along, and in the back of his mind he wonders why Doc has to
keep hotwiring his van and why he doesn't have the key to it. Doc always was
absent-minded ...
They arrive outside the
abandoned warehouse.
Doc, as if reading Marty's mind (not that
he ever tampered with that sort of thing or anything ), justifies why he never found the key to his van. Excuses,
excuses.
Doc leads Marty into the abandoned
warehouse and searches through the boxes. Marty helps out. He wants to find a
plutonium box, but the terrorists would be nuts to hide it in Doc's warehouse!
They find a bunch of weird gizmos, and
eventually Marty stumbles upon a piece of paper with instructions written on
it:
"Exchange the bomb for the plutonium
at the Twin Pines Mall parking lot. Come alone on Friday, October 25th. We will
be waiting. Your friend, the terrorists. PS. If you don't show, we will kill
you."
They don't find anything
else relevant.
12:20 - 12:30 PM
Marty wonders if they should go back to
the mall as the note suggests. Doc remembers that Luke told them the terrorists
were likely disposed of by now. But he figures, what the hell?
Hey, Marty found something else
interesting! It's the key to Doc's step van! (Enough with the hotwiring shite!)
Marty hands Doc the key and they head
toward the step van.
Doc puts the key in his pocket and they
get in the van and starts it with his key (hotdiggitydamn!) and they drive to
Twin Pines Mall.
It is a normal mall parking lot. Lots of
cars. A Fox photobooth. And the Lybian's step van that was chasing Marty and
Doc earlier ...
They get out of the van. Doc grabs his
toolbox, ready to reach for the gun if need be, and they peer into the window
of the Lybian's van. No persons are inside, but it is tough to see what else is
in it.
Just then a hand reaches out and grabs
Marty around the neck. Any urge he has to struggle stops when he feels a gun
being pressed to his temple.
Doc turns and looks at the man who has
grabbed Marty.
It's Mr. Hoggle/Lee! Or it looks just
like them, anyway. And as far as Marty and Doc are concerned, they have no
reason to believe that Mr. Hoggle/Lee is dead (too bad Marty's parents were
passed out and couldn't dish the dirt.
)
Jen drives Lorraine and George home. They
could probably use to sleep in their beds while they're passed out anyway.
Good thing Biff hasn't decided how he'll get
to the McFly home, or he'd be there to greet them right now!
Doc whipw the gun out of the toolbox and
points it straight at Mr. Hoggle/Lee's head. "You leave my best friend
alone!" he snarl. "Any business you have, you have with me!"
Mr. Hoggle smiles wickedly. "I had a
feeling I'd see you here, Doctor Brown. I see you're still skipping school,
Marty. Tsk tsk.
"But enough of that. Hand me the
keys to the DeLorean and I'll let your friend go safely. I don't believe you
have any other choice!"
Marty exclaims that Lee was told to stay
in '55, and activates his pager to contact Luke.
"I was in the 55, Mr. McFly. But
when my other self sent word of the goings on here I couldn't resist getting
involved myself. Two heads are better than one, after all," he replies.
Doc, getting a great idea of deception
(+1 for intelligence? Eh, why not. I don't hold a grudge!) hands HoggLee the
warehouse key instead of the DeLorean key.
HoggLee accepts it and
pockets it.
"Thank you, Doctor Brown," he
says. "And now your usefulness to me has ended."
Using Marty as a human shield to protect
himself, he raises his gun and prepares to fire on Doc!
(How fitting that the potential death of
Doc comes when he is upgraded to LEVEL 2!)
12:30 - 12:40 PM
Well, that won't earn Marty any intrepid
points, that's for sure!
But still, that pager was quick thinking
- +1 intelligence.
Still, it's too bad Luke
is nowhere in sight ...
As Marty clenches his eyes shut, Doc
dodges the first shot and then rams into both Marty and HoggLee, knocking them
down. (Doc steals Marty's potential intrepid point!) He cracks the butt of his
gun on HoggLee's head and knocks him out. He's no longer a threat, that's for
sure.
Marty quickly grabs Lee's gun (drops his
backpack) and aims it at him, just in case he wakes up.
Doc apologizes for knocking him down,
then goes to the terrorists' van to try to jimmy the door with his screwdriver.
He pops the lock open and looks inside.
Yep, inside he finds a case of plutonium and a ravenous guard dog! He snarls
and leaps at Doc, ready to rip at his flesh!
Biff wants that key ring back. That
butthead George lent it to him so he could drive his car! Why would he take it
back?
Biff goes to the bus stop and waits
patiently for a bus to arrive.
He then gets on the bus and gets off near
Lyon Estates and walks to the McFly home.
Outside he sees the McFly's car that
George lent him, with Jennifer Parker behind the steering wheel and George and
Lorraine passed out in the back.
Marty, spins around and shoots the dog at
it leaps at Doc. (There you go, that +1 Intrepidenss you didn't capitalize on
before - and a rise to LEVEL 2!)
It whimpers sadly and dies. He then
returns his aim to the HoggLee.
Marty hands Doc the gun
and he aims it at Lee.
Marty wants to put the plutonium in the
back of Doc's step van, but there's really no room for it (Doc's already
pushing it with the DeLorean and the radiation suits!). There's no room in the
DeLorean either, with that suitcase in there. Looks like something will be have
to be left behind ...
Biff hurries over to Jen
and asks what she's doing.
Marty decides to fuel the DeLorean with
the plutonium. Doc, who is shocked by the incicdent with the dog, gives him some
hints, but is too shaken up to really help.
Marty puts on the yellow radiation suit,
backs the DeLorean out of the step van (taking a moment to admire the vehicle
with admiration - having just seen if for the first time) and loads a pellet
from the plutonium case into the appropriate chamber as indicated by Doc.
Some shoppers are watching with interest,
but Doc is too dumb-founded to care. Marty's just too dumb.
Marty moves the suitcase from the
DeLorean to the van and puts the plutonium case in the DeLorean.
Marty & Doc move Lee's other self to
some bushes where he can rest more comfortably.
Marty puts his backpack and Doc's toolbox
in the back of the step van. Marty grabs his wallet, the key to the step van,
and holds onto the DeLorean Key. Doc pockets his screwdriver and Lee's Gun and
holds nothing. Apparently neither one wants to bring their hold items with them
to the past in order to carry extra items. The narrator finds this odd, but it
is a Role Playing Game, not a Role Narrorating Game.
Marty and Doc get in the DeLorean, Marty
driving, and input the destination time: November 5, 1955 (wonder how they
discovered that was the correct date?
).
Marty then accelerates to 88 MPH and the
DeLorean disappears from 1985 with a splash of light and two twin pairs of fire
trails.
(And now I must prepare the '55 map. Hang
tight, till then.)
EDIT: Oh, yes. That's a mission, isn't
it? +1 MA to Doc & Marty.
Both are now at LEVEL 4.
12:40 - 12:50 PM
George finally wakes up, shaking off the
stupor he was in from leaping out the window (the most exhilarating thing
George had done in years!)
He is in the backseat of his car,
Lorraine passed out, stone-cold drunk in his lap, and Jennifer at the wheel in
the front of the car. They are parked at the McFly driveway and Biff Tannen has
just approached the car. Biff scowls at George.
George sits Lorraine up in the car and
stands up to face Biff, asking what he wants and if he can help him.
Biff demands to know if George snatched
the keys he let him borrow back from him.
George confronts Biff, explaining that
it's his car and he needed and asking if he has a problem w/ that.
Biff returns that he does have a problem
and that George is his whipping boy. What's come over the former dork he used
to have such an easy time walking over?
George exclaims that no one owns him, and
asks if Biff will step aside so he can spend time with his drunk wife and his
son's girlfriend. George is ready for a fight, should it come to fisticuffs.
Biff turns and charges into the McFly's
house. He can usually come and go as he pleases. It even acts as his summer
home!
He checks out the fridge. Lots of food
and a cake that says "Welcome Back, Joey" on it. Plus some "Lite
Beer."
Jen had dozed off at the wheel of the
McFly car and only now realizes that someone has entered the McFly home! Who is
it, she wonders.
George gobbles up all of Joey's
celebratory cake! Poor Lorraine! And she drove drunk just to get it!
Jen charges into the house and starts
hammering on Biff, at first not realizing who he is!
Jen stops pounding on Biff long enough to ask him what he's
doing in the McFly's home. He looks at her and scowls, but doesn't speak.
Jen leaves the Parker home and goes to the Burger King for
lunch. There's a line at the counter and she gets in, waiting until she gets to
the front to order her food.
12:50 - 1:20 PM
Quickly changing her mind about getting some lunch, Jen
rushes back to the McFly house to explain everything that happened while the
McFly's were passed out.
Jen then rushes back to the High School
and out of the McFly home. She arrives to see a bunch of men in blue suits
surrounding the place.
"I'm sorry, girl, but you cannot come in here,"
says one. "The school has been cordoned off."
George gets back in the car to check on Lorraine. He has been
watching from here the whole time the incident with Jen & Biff.
Thank you, kev. I would appreciate anyone who points out to
me times when I may have neglected to give someone (or themselves) a point that
they deserved! +1 Dexterity for Jen!
George gives Lorraine a kiss and it
awakens her (awwww, just like a fairy tale!) and she begins blathering on about
seeing Marty by the RR Tunnel.
George gets in the front seat and peels toward the tunnel. He
gets out and looks around. The black car that was there is gone, and so is
Marty and Doc. To his naked eye, nothing seems out of the ordinary.
Lorraine is very happy at George's signs of affections! Mabye
now she won't have to drink so much to dull the pains of every day life! She
gives her keys to George so he can drive.
Lorraine watches George get out of the car and look around.
She remembers Doc's van being there and another black car, but those are both
gone now!
Lorraine gets out and looks around. The
world seems so much more complicated now that she's sober (well, it should when
all you care about is a cake when you're drunk!).
She discovers a secret hidden door at the side of the tunnel,
but it is locked with no way of being opened.
Hearing about the door, George tries to
spring it open with Lorraine's keys, then tries to use his other glasses from
Lorraine's purse to unlock it. He even pours some Nyquil over the handle!
No good. So they decide to head to the
Lone Pine Mall.
1:20 - 1:30 PM
They arrive at the parking lot. Strange. There is an odd blue
and white van parked there, as well as Doc's scientific services van!
George seems to recall the mall being called "Twin Pines Mall." That's odd. Must be new management.
Then he spies Marty's red vest on the
ground, as well as 2 strange pagers. He peers into the Doc's van and finds
Marty's backpack, Doc's toolbox and a suitcase, plus the body of a dog who has
been shot to death!
Well, this can't be good, considering their son is nowhere to
be seen. George explores the parking lot and finds an unconscious man in the
bushes behind them.
Lorraine picks up the pagers and puts them in her pockets.
George wants to get his hands on the backpack and toolbox, but the
door is locked. Again he tries to jimmy it open, but no luck.
He checks the pockets of the man and finds a round disk. What kind
of thing is this?
He also finds a set of keys, but they dont' fit in the van.
Lorraine uses the pager that she found and writes a message
"Can you help me?" and sends it to the # in they system.
Only a couple of minutes after she sent the message a man comes up
behind her and asks: "Who are you, and where did you get that pager
from?"
It is Luke, but Lorraine doesn't know that. She's never seen
this man before in her life!
Lorraine is not sure if she can trust Luke, but she decides
to be honest with him. She explains that she found her son's jacket and the
pager on the ground and that he is missing and wishes to find him. The whole
thing brings her to tears!
George then hurries to his wife's side, gives her a hug for support,
and asks if everything's ok, who the man is and if they can help him.
"That is my son's pager," says the man, wandering away
from them to view the step van. "Your son must have borrowed it from him,
that's all. I have no idea where you son is, I am afraid, or what is going on
here."
He pauses when he sees Lee in the bushes. He rushes over to him
& digs through his pockets, but finds nothing.
"Was there anything on the man?" he demands of
Lorraine and George.
1:30 - 1:40 PM
George tells the man that he did not have anything on him that he
knows of, and is glad he pocketed the 2 itmes he did find. He asks if Luke knew
the man.
"He is a criminal," explains Luke. "A very
dangerous one. I'm a detective, you see. I'll call for backup. We'll take care
of him, don't wory. If you would like, you can file a report for your missing
son at the department. I can drive you there, when I've taken care of this
man."
Lorraine, using a tissue to dab her eyes (I'm not sure where
she got a tissue from, and I'm not sure I want to know!) says No thanks and
chooses to leave and head to mall's entrance. She pauses to see if George will
go with her.
George follows Lorraine, and when they are a safe distance away, and
Lee has turned his back and is no longer concerned with them, he shows them the
items he found and wonders if they could open the door to the tunnel.
Lorraine still wants to explore the mall however and she thinks they
should split up. She will go left (and does) and George will go right.
Lorraine sees many department stores on her side. A toy
store, a clothes store, a jewelry store, an electronics store and a food court.
Lorraine enters the electronic store. Some radio equipment, some
stuff for fax machines and phones and computers. And other electronic stuff.
The man at the counter watches her, wondering what she could
be looking for.
George goes right. He finds a book store, a department store,
a furniture store, a party store, and a sports store (maybe others are on the
top floor - I can't think of anymore stores right now!).
Lorraine joins George on the other side of the mall, looking
for different stores.
George goes to the book store to look for a book on how to get
through security doors but finds nothing.
Lorraine goes to buy an ax and some rope from the deparment store.
The sales associate looks at her with apprehension. He's a bit nervous, because
the last time he sold a machete and hockey mask to a man who then went and
killed a bunch of people at the lake!
But he points Lorraine to the items in question. The ax is
$20 and the rope is $10.
George approaches Lorraine and says he couldn't find the
book. Lorraine purchases the ax and rope, putting her keys back in her purse,
and her carrying the ax and George the rope, and they go to the food court and
have lunch, as it's after 1 in the afternoon. George pays $15 for the meal and
they eat up!
1:40 - 2:10 PM
Jen asks the man in the blue suit why the school has been cut off.
"That informations is off limits," says the man.
"Government business. Please return to your home and forget this ever
happened."
Jen leaves the high school, shouting at the men, and hurries
off to try to get into contact with Doc & Marty.
Jen can't find Marty or Doc, and so she returns to the McFly
home to return to George's keys. The McFly car is gone, however, and the house
looks empty.
Jen, not being able to find anyone at the McFly home, heads
back to her house. She walks home and enters the house, stepping into the
living room. A couch, television, coffee table with some books on it, & a
stereo system are inside.
Jen turns on the TV and watches the news. A story about the
cordoned high school by some mystery government officials is on. Another report
on the Crystal Lake Killer's death is also shown.
Biff rushes past the police officer to tell his boss that he saw George
steal some money, but his boss is not in his office.
"You can't go in there!" exclaims the officer,
hurrying after Biff. "I'm sorry, but the boss of this building, Mr.
Needles, was killed this morning."
2:10 - 2:30 PM
George & Lorraine finish eating, and as they go to leave,
Lorraine is suddenly struck with an idea! She thinks that the events of the day
are all connected in some way and have happened mostly around the mall and the
school. She remembers back when they were in high school and two men were noisy
and rude ("Every kid in school remembered that day beause we all had
teachers we wanted to be rude to, but of course, in 1955, that was considered
far too naughty and nobody dared." )
She wants to go to the school and look for clues to help Marty. They
put the ax and rope in their car (darn, and I was really looking forward to
seeeing what she planned to do with these items!) Lorraine wants to sneak back
to Hill Valley after dark, around 5 PM, since those men had shut the school off
from the public.
They also notice that now the terrorist van is gone from the
parking lot, and so is Doc's van! The officer who had come when Lorraine paged
him is gone and everything seems to have been returned to normal.
Lorraine grabs 10 bucks off of George and returns to the mall
to purchase some sneeking clothes for themselves: A black sweater, black pants,
and black black beanies. Lorraine pays the man $20 for the clothes and she
returns to George with a bag of the clothes.
Lorraine returns to the electronic store and buys a nice
sturdy flashlight and pays $10 for it.
Lorraine puts the flashlight in the boot of the car and then
get in the car to sleep (why sleep in a bed when you have an uncomfortable car
seat?) to pass the time until 5:00 rolls around.
2:30 - 5:00 PM
George & Lorraine sleep for 2 and a half hours. It is now 5:00
PM in 1985.
5:00 - 5:20 PM
Lorraine wakes up and quietly drives to the high school. Deciding not to wake George, she quickly changes into the dark clothes she purchased and gets out of the car. George awakens and changes into the dark clothes as well. George's and Lorraine's old clothes go in the car, as well as George's other glasses.
Lorraine reminds George to grab the flashlight and he does, making sure
that he still has the items he took from the man in the bushes in his pockets.
Lorraine asks if they should bring the machete with them if the need
it as she peers over the bushes to survey she school.
Many of the men in blue suits are gone, and only a couple of blue
vans are present, with some men guarding the doors. There is very little
activity.
Lorraine grabs Marty's pager and leaves Doc's in the car. George is
uncertain about the machete, so they hurry to go exploring without it.
Lorraine sneaks arcross the parking lot and with much effort is able
to swing herself into an opened window. George follows suit. (+1 Dexterity for
both!)
They stand and look around and see that they are now in the art
room. Canvases on tri-pods and tables with paint brushes, cans of paints,
pencils and erasers can be seen. Otherwise, the room is empty.
Lorraine goes to the door and puts her ear to it to listen if anyone
is outside before opening it. Very smart. +1 Intelligence for her. Lorraine is
now at LEVEL 3!
No, she cannot hear anyone in the hallway at all.
Being back in her old high school brings back memories of her past
to Lorraine. She remembers stories of ghosts and strange happenings in the gym
and decides to check it out, to see if maybe they weren't rumors but grounded
in some sort of reality.
She creeps out of the art room and into the empty hall, George
keeping an eye out to make sure no one discovers them, and they creep to the
gym.
Inside they see the hard gym floor. The basketball boards are raised
to the ceiling and the room is empty. Bleachers stand on either side of the
gym, but are currently pushed in so that they are a part of the walls on either
side.
(Hmmm, for some reason it never registered to me that you bought 2
flashlights. Oh, well.)
Lorraine & George click on their flashlights, Lorraine exploring
the left side and George the right. She brushes over everything in sight.
Meanwhile, George's thoughts waver from detective work to romance,
but he quicklly gets back to the task at hand.
They don't find much, but Lorraine does notice that a certain
section of the school's floorboards under where the bleachers would be pulled
out to sound more hollow than any other section in the gym.
Biff hurries to the lounge to see what there is to eat, but all he
finds is a coffee maker and a box of donuts.
The officer calls after him: "Sir, wait, we want to speak with
you!"
5:20 - 5:30 PM
Lorraine whispers for George to check out her discovery and they
both feel around for any way to get the boards up, but they are secured
sturdily to the ground. Lorraine, however, does find a key hole in the floor
near this area.
Lorraine suggests George tries the key he found on the man in the
bushes. George takes out the keys and, grabbing Lorraine's hand and glancing
sideways at her, slips the key into the hole.
A perfect fit.
He turns the lock and the floor begins to slowly slide away under
them. They quickly move aside as the floor quietly moves away, leaving a gaping
hole with a long set of winding stairs dipping down into it in its place.
George and Lorraine determine to go down into the hole. Lorraine
squeezes her hubby's hand and both tiptoe carefully and quietly down the
stairs. It's a long winding trip down the stairs, but they make it to the
bottom floor.
A lightswitch is on the nearest wall.
Peering through the dark they finds dozens of boxes marked
"Dehydrated Food," a "Hydrator" in a corner of the room,
and a jugs of water. One other item intrigues them as well. A giant, futuristic
computer terminal, complete with a CD slot and giant computer screen and
keyboard.
Lorraine wants to turn on the lights to see if they can spot
anything else quickly, but George doesn't want to chance alerting anyone that
they are there. Lorraine gives the lights a quick flick and the lights above
flash on one at a time. With the lights on Lorraine can now see a door in what
appeared to be a solid wall. She quickly flicks the lights off again.
George suggests they try the CD in the computer terminal.
They approach the terminal and George slides it into the slot.
The screen flickers to life and a shadowed face appears on the
screen. Through the slightly-scrambled image, it is impossible to discover the
man's identity, and his voice appears to be altered as well.
The image says: "Agent Hoggle, the time nears. Our forces have
grown stronger. It is time for WADOTAT to enact its ultimate goal. The others
must be destroyed. However, we cannot risk removing the first time travel or
the events of the OMEGA timeline from existence, or else time travel itself may
never exist."
"However, Doctor Brown is expendable. There is one event which
started this. The one event of the OMEGA timeline. You know what that is. It
must be avoided. Find Doctor Brown and his associates on the morning prior to
the first time travel experiment and have him destroyed. We will recreate the
events of the OMEGA timeline without him, excluding the single event that
brought NIFADOT into being. Do not fail me. Your life depend on it."
The message cuts off and the screen goes blank.
George & Lorraine are very worried that their son could be in
real danger. They decide to try to get in the door, but Lorraine discovers that
it has no handle! By the door is a little pad with the words "Tumb Print
Scanner: Authorized Personel Only" on it.
Lorraine examines the door. It is made of thick metal. No machetes
or axes will be able to chop this door down!
George, too, tries to think of some way to open the door, but can
think of none.
And if I'm not mistaken, George ejected and pocketed the CD before
they went to the door.
5:30 - 5:50 PM
How romantic! George & Lorraine sneak back out of the high
school (placing a hair in the floor to see if anyone enters while they are
gone) and drive back to the mall to begin the nasty procedure. Only the man
isn't in the bushes when they arrive. Oh, yes, that's right. That officer said
he was a criminal and he was taken in. Oh, yes, that's right. He wasn't even
dead. It's a good thing he wasn't still there, or that could've gotten messy!
George wonders if they shouldn't head to the police stations and see
if they can't find the guy who was arrested.
Lorraine doesn't think they'll have much luck at the police station,
and thinks they should return to the RR Tunnel to look for more clues.
George & Lorraine jump in the car and drive to the RR Tunnel.
Flicking on their flashlights, they explore. George discovers a hidden door,
with a slot for a card to be swiped.
It is metal, I am afraid.
Lorraine will try George's idea first, apparently. Hmmm, no cards on
the key chain, I'm afraid, and no key hole on the tunnel.
5:50 - 6:10 PM
Lorraine quickly leads George back to their car. They speed to the
high school, leap back through the window (because Kath laid on the guilt trip
so thick, +1 dexterity point for each, George at LEVEL 3!), and check the hair.
It has not moved.
George and Lorraine decide to check the girl's bathroom to see if
the body they discovered is still there. Lorraine grabs the machete from her
car (and leaves her purse behind?) and catches up to George. They step into the
bathroom and discover a couple of men in blue suits, going over the room. A man
in a suit and tie turns and faces them. It is the man from the high school parking
lot, John Luke!
"I knew I shouldn't have let you 2 wander off. Men, apprehend
these 2 and take their belongings. I don't want anymore unwanted
interference," he says.
Like ninjas Lorraine
& George attack the men. They back off as Lorraine wields the machete at
them.
"Enough!" roars Luke. "This is getting entirely out
of hand! You two need to return to your homes now! I assure that your son will
be just fine, but you can't get further involved in this. It will just make
things much worse."
Okay, +1 Intelligence to Lorraine for thinking of the machete, +1
dexterity to George for the tackle.
Jen, unable to find Marty & Doc, begans to wander the Hill
Valley streets. Suddenly a man lurches from the shadows and grabs her arm. It's
Reiley Strickland, the man who attempted to throw her off the ravine earlier in
the day.
"Young lady, you are coming with us," he says.
Lorraine demands to know everything that is going on, and threatens
to chop off their thumbs if they don't.
"Mrs. McFly, you don't know what you're getting involved
with," says the man. "If you'll just let me take you home. You can
open up a bottle of vodka, drink to your content, relax for the weekend with
your husband, and by Sunday afternoon everything will be returned to
normal."
Holy crap! Lorraine chops off the man's thumb with her machete and
she and George book it and the men give chase.
George & Lorraine weave through the school, halls trying to loose
the men, while Lorraine pockets Luke's thumb. They leap out a window, close it
soflty behind them, shimmy up a pipe and reach the roof. Lorraine almost falls,
but George catches her. In the moonlight she looks just like she did in 1955.
There's nothing more attractive than a machete wielding maniac!
They look around the roof. A door can be seen that leads up there by
stairs, and also a vent sticking out of the roof.
Jen tries to break free and punch the man. A fist right to the nose.
The man is dazed, but he doesn't let her go. He's still much stronger than her.
Grabbing her by the wrists he leads her to his car and throws her in.
"You will be very instrumental to us in drawing your friends
out," he says and speeds to the flower store in exterior hill Valley.
The men rush out of the building, searching the entire grounds for
Lorraine and George, but to no avail. It looks like they lost them for good,
but the men are still outside the school. Even more secruity has been released
into the parking lot, making escape nearly impossible!
6:10 - 6:20 PM
Jen tries to think of a way to escape. Maybe she remembers the pager
in her pocket given to her by Luke?
Jen takes the pager out and pages the # in it. The car pulls over
next to the flower shop and Reiley pulls her out of the car and brings her into
the shop and into a back room. He binds her with ropes to a chair. Two men
guard the door they entered.
"I'll come back for her when I need her," he says, leaving
the shop. "Don't let her escape."
Jen tries to reach into her pocket to contact Marty & Doc with
her pager but can't reach it. Just as she is about to give up, John Luke bursts
through the door, gun drawn. He fires at the men guarding the door and brings
them down. He quickly untied Jen.
"Have you seen them?" he asks her. "Have you seen
Doctor Brown and Martin McFly?"
Jen tells Luke that she doesn't know, but has been trying to contact
them.
"Great," says Luke. "Come with me. I'll put you
somewhere where you'll be safe until the mess is over with. Clearly you're not
safe at this time."
Jen gladly goes with Luke and they get in his black car outside and
drive off. He takes her to the River Road Tunnel and the secret door. He swipes
his card and leads her down into the crowded building, filled with many men in
blue suits.
"Keep an eye on her. Don't let her go and makes sure nothing
happens to her. Don't let her into any of the files," says Luke.
Jen looks around the room. A giant terminal stands in the rear and a
bunch of desks with computers can be seen with men at them. A man approaches
her and says:
"Don't worry. You'll be safe here. Once this is all taken care
of you'll be returned to your normal life."
Jen asks for a bed. The man rolls out a cot and tells her she can
sleep on that.
Jen goes to bed on the cot.
Lorraine and George are able to compose themselves. Perhaps it's just the odd situation they're in, or maybe it's a ripple effect in the cosmos, but suddenly the passion has returned to their relationship. They are putting their flaws and foibles behind them and embarking on a new life. But they haven't time to think of it now. They are still in danger, and so is their son.
They examine the vent. Yes, it appears that they may be able to
climb down into it and crawl through the vents that hang horizontally on the
ceiling inside, if they are very careful.
George & Lorraine climb down into the vent, being very careful
to not hurt themselves or make much noise. Once they are inside the vent, they
begin crawling on hands and knees. Every now and then they spot a covering with
slats and peer in it to see which room they are currently over. They finally
spot the gym through the slats and it seems empty, most of the officers outside
guarding the parking lot now.
Lorraine and George pop the cover to the vent and move it aside.
They jump to the ground and check the hair in the secret door. Still untouched.
They use the key to unlock the door and climb back downstairs and try Luke's
thumb on the plate to see if it will open the door inside.
The light flashes red.
The door does not open.
6:20 - 6:30 PM
Lorraine is not happy that Luke's thumb does not work. She tries to
think of another way to open the door and then tries cleaning the thumb and
trying again. Bupkis.
George suggests they hide, in case they set off some secret alarm.
Just then, they hear the door to the bunker slide open above them
and the sound of feet pattering down the stairs toward the bunker!
Lorraine holds tightly to her machete and they quickly hide behind
the giant computer terminal.
They watch from the shadows as a man hurries into the bunker. His
face looks familiar. Yes, it's the man who was in the bushes at the mall, the
one that George got the keys and CD off of. He rushes to the door and pushes
his thumb to the plate.
It glows green. The door slides open and he hurries inside.
Lorraine and George hurry and sneak through the door after Lee. Lee
seems too busy to notice them.
Inside they find a long corridor. At the end of this corridor there
are two doors. Lee pushes his thumb to a plate next to one door and goes
inside. This room is about the size of a walk-in closet. There are items
hanging on the walls, and Lee reaches to grab some.
George & Lorraine very quietly peek into this room. They see Lee
grab a gun from the items that hang on the wall, as well as a small, long clear
box that seems to be filled with a green liquid that almost glows. He puts the
gun in his back pocket, and takes a device from his belt and, clearing the
device of an empty box, loads the liquid-filled one into it. The device is
shaped like the number 8 with different buttons. He reattaches the device to
his belt and turns to leave the room.
George & Lorraine hide in the shadows of the corridor, kneeling
down and continue to watch Lee. He steps out of the room, using his thumb to
close the door once more, and he hurries to the second door. He pushes his
thumb to a plate by this door and steps in. Lorraine and George can see another
a great corridor on the other side, wtih what appears to be a shuttle on tracks
inside.
Lorraine slips the Nyquil in the first door to prevent it from
closing and then watches Lee through the other door. A line of shuttles can be
seen. Lee climbs into the one at the head of the group. The door closes and in
an instant the shuttle is zipped forward through a tunnel beyond and disapears.
As this happens, the second door begins to close once more.
George and Lorraine leaps through the second door. They hurry
forward and jump in the nearest shuttle. They find a button that says
"Start" and push it. The doors to the shuttle snap shut and the
shuttle zooms forward through a dark tunnel.
6:30 - 6:40 PM
It comes to a stop on a shuttle dock. Outside an opened door can be
seen and from afar some voices can just be made out beyond this door.
The doors to their shuttle snap open, inviting George and Lorraine to
exit. Lee's shuttle can be seen across from them, having followed the track in
a u-turn so it is now ready to go through a second tunnel back the way it came.
George & Lorraine silently sneak to the door and peer cautiously
in. They see a great room, a large computer on one wall, a great televison on
another. Dozens of men in suits roam the room quietly, going about business. A
man sits on a rised chair upon a great fleight of steps. He has a hooded shawl
around him, so his face is completely hidden in shadows. Lee stands before the
chair, his back to Lorraine and George, talking with the man.
Behind them, they hear their shuttle make its own turn so that it
faces the opposite direction just as Lee's, but it is not loud enough for those
inside the room to notice.
" ... but they escaped," says Lee, midway through
sentence. "They wouldn't agree to stay out of it, sir. After they took off
from the High School in '55 I sent Strickland after them, but he returned
having not been able to locate them. I then returned here at once to deliver
this unfortunate news."
"I should have known better," says the kingly man in the
raised seat. "Doctor Brown and I are, after all, of the same temperament.
I wouldn't sit back and let these events unfold either. Still, he does no good
to himself or us by defying us. But if we can't bring him in without harming
him then we may have to let him go and just try to keep an eye on him when
possible.
"Have you found the WADOTAT base yet?"
"No, sir, not yet," returns Lee. "Any news?"
"The WADOTAT discovered the time machine in the River Road
Tunnel in 1955 and nearly succeeded in stealing it. Luckily TORO showed and
prevented this. Brown and McFly were able to escape, and the TORO headquarters
was destroyed."
"That all plays greatly in our favor," says Lee.
"Yes," says the man, "but we must still find WADOTAT.
Keep scouring the town. They must have set up base here somewhere before they
arrived in '85 to kill Brown. Their leader must be killed. Now get back to '55
and have your men continue their search."
"Yes," Lee bows, and turns to return the to shuttle dock.
George and Lorriane quickly hide in the shadows as Lee passes by
them on his way toward his shuttle. He examines the Figure-8 device, pushing
some buttons, not paying much attention. Deciding to split up, Lorraine follows
after Lee and George stays to listen. Lorraine, ducking through shadows and
crawling against walls, manages to reach Lee's shuttle before he does and ducks
through the door and into the back, throwing a blanket over herself so not to
be seen.
Lee reaches the shuttle and climbs in and in an instant it is
whipped through the exit tunnel.
Meanwhile, the shrowded man steps down from his throne, arms clasped behind his back, pacing.
"WADOTAT started this," he mumbled under his breath.
"We had an agreement. Our organizations would do battle honorably, until
only one was the Kingpin of the Temporal Underworld. Now they wish to
exterminate us before our orginization ever exists. If those are the rules they
wish to play by, so be it. After we make certain the Omega timeline is
returned, we will obliterate WADOTAT itself so that only NIFADOT rules the
temporal underworld!"
Lee's shuttle returns from whence it came, back in the dock outside
the high school bunker. Lee gets out and hurries to the door. He presses his
thumb to the plate, it slides open, and he steps back into the corridor
outside.
George listens a bit longer, but it seems the shawled man is done
muttering to himself and has returned to his throne to ponder silently.
George hurries to his and Lorraine's shuttle and jumps in.
Meanwhile, Lorraine follows closely behind Lee, sticking her keys in
the door so George can open it, and quietly follows him down the corridor, back
into the main bunker. She pauses in the corridor to watch as Lee steps in the
middle of the bunker, grabs the Figure-8 device and pushes a few buttons. A
globe-like wormhole seems to appear around his form, sizzling and sparking and
with a great flash of light Lee is gone, only two sets of flaming footprints
left on the floor where he stood.
George's shuttle arrives in the shuttle dock outside.
George gets out of the shuttle and catches up to Lorraine, grabbing
her keys from the door and giving them back to her. After relating all that
they saw and heard, they return to the first door and, Lorraine grabbing the
Nyquil, they enter and look around.
Plenty of guns, the plastic containers of green liquid, and a bunch
of Figure-8 devices hang on the walls.
George and Lorraine enter the room, grab a gun, a plastic box, and a
device each. They load the device with the plastic box of green liquid and put
the guns in their pockets and attach the devices to their belts and leave the
room.
Lorraine examines the device. The keys are numbered and there is a
screen above which says "Destination Time." On the side of the device
are the words "Figure-8 Temporal Device - No Unauthorized Access,"
plus some small print "Unauthorized access punishble by life in
prison."
Lorraine inputs the destination time as November 5, 1955. They want to see the day they first met again. Huddling together, they press the activate button and two sparking globes surround them. Their bodies feel as if they're moving at an incredible speed, yet they're standing in place. Why are their feet getting so hot? A counter on the devices goes higher and higher until it reads 88 and Lorraine and George disappear from 1985.
+1 Time Travel Skill for them! (And I'll add that one to Doc &
Marty that HFD mentioned as well). Welcome George and Lorraine to the time
traveling world! Lorraine goes up a level as well!
When the lights stop flashing they find themselves in the same
bunker, but it looks somehow newer. However, the same items are inside and no
one else but them is around. Now their feet are freezing cold!
6:40 - 8:00 PM
Jen wakes up on the cot. She's still in the bunker, only it's
totally burned out and destroyed. Cob webs grow everywhere and the men in blue
suits look confuses as they try to restore the building.
"This must be a time flux," says one. "Something must
have happened in the past. Can't you contact Luke?"
"He's not responding," says another. "Something must
be happening at the high school ..."
Jen, seeing the men in blue suits distracted, takes off and runs as
fast as she can back to her house, slamming the door and locking it behind her.
The officer catches up to Biff and Biff asks what they want to ask
him.
"You work here, correct?" asks the officer. "What is
your name? When was the last time you saw your boss Derrick Needles alive? We
have reasons to believe he and this entire company was funding
terrorists!"
Jen is worried that someone saw her escape, but it seems the men in
blue suits were too distracted and no one else was able to catch her sneak
home.
Jen decides that she's tired of waiting and goes for a walk in the
park, which is just across from Crystal Lake.
Biff gives his name and information and assures the police that they
are not funding terrorists.
"We have reason to believe otherwise," says the man.
"We have a special man working on this case and has asked to speak with
you. I'll call him in. His name's John Luke. You just wait here for him to
arrive."
The man then grabs his intercom and contact the police station to
get ahold of John Luke.
"He'll be getting here soon," says the officer.
Biff decides it's best to wait. After some long minutes a man enters
the lounge, wearing a suit and tie and sunglasses. His hand is bandaged up.
Looks like he's recently been to the hospital.
"You're Biff Tannen?" he asks. "Tell me everything
you know about the McFly's and Emmett Brown and anything that has happened to
you today. Have you seen the McFly's or Brown at all today and if so explain to
me specifically what occured."
He takes out a pad and pencil to begin scribbling down what Biff
tells him.
8:00 - 8:10 PM
Jen decides she needs some items to protect herself with and runs
home and grabs a knife and some pepper spray and puts it in her purse and then
goes back to Crystal Park.
Suddenly a figure in a ski mask jumps out at her. As she prepares to
lash out at him he cries: "Please, come with me! Trust me!"
Jen decides to trust the man and puts away the items.
"I knew you'd trust me, Jen," says the man, taking her
hand. "You don't know for how long I've wished to touch your hand again!
It's been so long since we've seen each other, but I can't help but still love
you!"
"You know who I am," says the man. "You must. Because
there's still a part of the Jen I know inside you. Look in your heart and I'm
sure you'll remember me! Until then, stay safe and don't let any harm come to
you! I'll try to watch over you when I can. Goodbye!"
The man turns to run off.
Biff tells John Luke all he knows. Luke scribbles along.
"I see," says Luke, trying to put the pieces together in
his head. "Okay, Mr. Tannen, thanks for your time. Why don't you go home
and be on the look out for anything suspicious. Here's my card, if you need
anything. There won't be anymore work today and the office will be closed off
while we investigate this matter."
Luke hands Biff his card and he puts it in his pocket.
Jen goes home and sits on her couch. She thinks the man she met may
have been Marty and is glad to know that he is safe.
Jen, overwhelmed by the stress, faints.
As she sleeps in her house, a figure lurks in and places a note in
her hand and leaves silently.
Jen awakens in her house and finds the note in her hand. She opens it
and reads it to herself:
"Meet me at the Crystal Park Lake. I have to see you one last
time."
Jen hurries off to meet the person, believing it is Marty. She arrives in the park in the darkness of night. As she waits in the park, a man approaches from behind and touches her back. Jen spins around and faces him.
"It's me," says the man in the ski mask. "I just had
to say goodbye."
Jen asks the man why he is saying goodbye and what is happening.
"I've learned something," he says. "I've reached a
crossroads, Jen. Either I do the right thing or I keep looking out for myself.
It's time for me to face my destiny and set things right once and for all.
Goodbye."
He takes Jen in his arms and kisses her passionately. Embracing her
lovingly, he says: "I'll always love you. Remember that. Whatever becomes
of me. I'll always love you. Goodbye."
The man turns around and rushes off into the darkness, leaving Jen
behind.
11:40 - 11:59 PM
Back in '85, Lorraine and George hurry to the Clayton Ravine to wait out the terrible event that will unfold this day.
10/26/1985
12:00 - 12:10 AM
As the present time ticks to 12:00
midnight, George and Lorraine see a brilliant flash of light in the distance
and it appears that someone has appeared from another time!
The man groans, grabbing a pager from
his pocket and quickly sends a message. He lays on his stomach, holding his
back, where it appears he is bleeding from. And is that a rubber Nixon mask
covering his face?
George and Lorraine seem to recall Nixon-mask as being a
part of the organization that will soon take over the world (I can't remember,
did George and Lorraine ever meet Hour Glass at any point? I remember they saw
the leader of NIFADOT ...).
Seeing that he has paged someone, they decide to stay
hidden, and within minutes a black car comes hovering from within the Clayton
Ravine and out onto the ground next to Nixon-mask. A man gets out of the black
car and helps Nixon-mask into it.
"To the clock tower," he says. "I want to
get these disks there before anyone finds them."
"Sir, you've been shot," says the man.
"We'll worry about that later!"
They get in the car and it hovers into the sky and flies
off into the distance.
Doc appears in the bunker under the clock tower in 1985 (at 12:03
AM). Looking around he sees a huge computer terminal in the back and a fleight
of stares reaching to the closed door in the roof of the bunker, but the bunker
is empty of any people at this moment in time.
Doc approaches the computer terminal and turns it on. A directory
appears on the screen with a search engine, the WADOTAT emblem on the page.
Doc types "Hour Glass" into the search engine and hits
enter. A page comes up.
"Hour Glass was born in 1968 in Hill Valley California. His
father was often abusive and he grew up in a broken up. As an adult he learned
the secret of time travel from his father, and having been pushed by his father
to become a success, he pursued his discovery to the fullest, until eventually
joining the secret TORO agency in the year 2023. There he gained much knowledge
of time travel and used this to begin WADOTAT, an organization bent on taking
over the world using time travel.
"Hour Glass' true identity is a secret to all but WADOTAT,
NIFADOT and TORO, the latter two having discovered this secret using time
travel. To most he is an unknown man, but his father was very involved in the
events of the Omega timline.
"His true name is Biff Tannen Junior, and he is the future
ruler of the world."
As Doc finishes reading this info he hears the door to the bunker
open and two men hurry down the stairs into the bunker.
Doc quickly looks for a place to hide. He quickly slides behind the
terminal, it being the only thing in the room big enough to hide him.
Two men enter the room, one holding the other up. The one limping in
is Hour Glass, holding to the disks stolen from Foster's.
"Let me fix you up, sir," says the man. They sit down and
the man begins working on Hour Glass's shot wound in the back.
"If I ever see that Brown butthead again I'm going rip his
heart out!" mutters Hour Glass. "When will the others arrive?"
"About ten minutes," says the man. "About 12:20. The
others were sent to eliminate Reiley in the past."
"Good," grunts Hour Glass. "I want Brown and McFly
brought to me immediately! Whenever they are! I want to put the bullet through
them myself!"
"Your father would be proud."
"I'm ten times the man he ever hoped to be."
12:10 AM - 12:20 AM
The car reappears shortly after midnight on Saturday morning in the
Clayton Ravine. It's dark and Hour Glass is nowhere in sight.
Seeing the ravine empty, Doc turns the DeLorean around and heads to
the flower shop to check it out.
Deciding that they can always go back
in time to check out the clock tower if need be, George and Lorraine keep
themselves hidden at the ravine.
Ten minutes pass.
Boom. Boom! BOOM!
A DeLorean time machine suddenly
appears from nowhere! The car haults for barely a minute before it turns around
and accelerates out of the ravine. But was that Marty in the passenger's seat,
and Doc drivng???
George and Lorraine, remembering the
DeLorean time machine from their trip to 1955, decide to stay at the Ravine,
knowing that they could never catch the DeLorean to warn Marty, and knowing
that their best plan is to wait at the ravine for the events to unfold.
And so they wait ...
They arrive to see the parking lot filled with black cars and men in
blue suits arresting people inside the building.
Happy that TORO was able to take down WADOTAT at the flower shop,
Doc hurries out of there before he's spotted. He heads back to the clock tower
to see if he can't get the door open again.
As he pulls the DeLorean into the town square he sees two men
guarding the entrance to the court house, guns in hand. And at last check, the
gun they took from Lee had only two bullets left in it.
Doc drives by and pulls to the back of the court house, looking for
a back entrance. Nope, nothing. It seems the front door is the only entrance to
the building.
Doc checks the time travel device he got from Reiley to see how much
fuel is left. Enough for 3 trips. And it seems only one person can travel with
this device (if that matters).
Doc asks Marty to stay with the car with the gun, and grabbing his
items Doc inserts the destination time October 21, 1985 and hits the activate
button.
While waiting for Doc to get back, Marty refuels the time machine.
Marty goes around to the back of the court house to check things out. He sees
two black cars parked behind the clock tower, and a stain of blood on the
pavement between the cars and the clock tower.
Decidng not to get involved with it, Marty gets back in the DeLorean
and locks the doors.
Marty decides to check out the cars again, in case someone is in
danger. He looks into the cars and finds ... one of the devices that Doc had
gotten off of Reiley!
Doc stays hidden, not wanting to tempt Biff on his vow. The man
continues to patch up Hour Glass for a while and then the sound of cars
arriving outside the clock tower can be heard.
Marty looks up from the two cars he is peering in to see that four
cars have pulled into the backlot of the court house. Six men begin to climb
out of the four cars.
v Marty quickly grabs the device and returns to the DeLorean and
locks the door to escape from the men.
Doc peeks out around the terminal at the two men. Hour Glass seems
unarmed, but it looks like the other man has a gun on him. Doc can now hear the
men entering the court house, and Marty certainly sees them entering as well!
Doc isn't sure what to do. He decides to stay hidden for the moment as the men head down into the bunker.
"Yes, sir?" says one of the men, saluting Hour Glass.
Hour Glass stands. "Two of you come with me to the Clayton
Ravine to take cover. The rest go find McFly and Brown and bring them to me! I
want them dead before the sun rises on this date!"
"Yes!" Four of the men turn to leave, while the other two
(and the man who was with Hour Glass originally) assist the wounded Hour Glass
back up the stairs and back to the cars outside.
Doc peeks out of the terminal once he hears the men have left. It
seems the only thing that was left behind were the disks that Hour Glass
brought there. No one else is in the room.
Spotting the disks, Doc drops his screwdriver and puts the disks in his pocket. He goes to the bunker door and opens it (thankfully it's easier to open from the inside than it is the out). He just sees some men step out of the court house as he peers out. The court house interior seems empty now. It isn't long before he hears car engines start outside.
Doc peeks out the front door, but it seems the two guards had come with the men in their cars and have since left in those cars to hunt down Marty and Doc.
Marty, while examining his new time device (it seems to be able to
make 4 time trips, the Last Time Departed is November 12, 1955 11:00 PM, and it
is a greenish-gray color), can see the men leaving the clock tower and getting
their cars and driving off. Except as one car passes by the DeLorean it skids
to a stop.
One of the men from inside the court house gets out of the car and
with shock on his face cries: "The DeLorean!"
Doc hurries out of the court house and around to wherever they
parked the DeLorean to check on Marty. As he arrives he sees a black car parked
behind it and a man creeping up to the car, a revolver in hand, ready to pull
open one of the doors and fire away. Poor Marty's too distracted with his new
toy to even notice!
12:20 AM - 12:40 AM
Doc quickly sneaks up behind the man and slugs him with his trusty
pipe from behind. The man drops like a sack of potatoes, out like a light.
Marty looks up with shock at what has just occured!
The other cars have all driven off, not noticing the time machine.
Doc moves the man he knocked out aside and gives Marty a stern
lecture on paying attention. Marty shows Doc the new time travel device he
found and Doc relates the info he gathered in the bunker.
They then decide to drive to the abandoned warehouse where Doc kept
the DeLorean hidden in exterior Hill Valley, planning to watch the NIFADOT
disks Doc swiped.
They arrive at the warehouse it in the dead of night. Everything
seems quiet.
Soon a car pulls into the Clayton Ravine. It appears to be the same one that flew out of there nearly 20 minutes ago. George and Lorraine watch as two men get out, hearing Hour Glass cry from inside: "Make sure the area's secure! I wouldn't be surprised if we're being watched!"
The two men begin to scour the ravine.
Doc slides a NIFADOT disk into the laptop and it begins to load.
Just as a search screen with the NIFADOT emblem appears, there suddenly emerges
from Doc's warehouse a group of men in blue suits! Guns drawn, they surround
the DeLorean.
Cars suddenly emerge from all the roads that would be exits,
blocking the time machine's path.
"Freeze!" cries a man. "You are under arrest for
interference with official world government business!"
Lorraine quickly grabs George and pushes them to a secluded bush to
hide in the darkness. They jump in it and hold their breaths.
The two men search with flashlights the entire area, but luckilly
they do not spot George or Lorraine.
"The area is secure, sir!" says one man to the car.
"Keep watch!" comes Hour Glass' voice back. "If
anyone approaches, you know what to do!"
The car then lifts into the air and glides into the ravine. The
sound of a great door opening can be heard and then the car's engine dies away
and silence. The two men stand watch.
Doc asks Marty if he refueled the DeLorean. Affirmative. Doc hits
the brake and accelerates the car in place. while inserting the destination
time, October 26, 2015.
"Hault or we'll fire!" cries a man.
As the DeLorean reachey 75 mph, Doc lets go of the brake and the car
charges forward. The men let out some rounds at the car, getting some hits in
the hood, but this doesn't stop the car as it heads straight for the warehouse.
It disappears just before it hits the warehouse and reappears at
6:00 in the morning in 2015.
George gets an idea and he and Lorraine program their destination time
into their devices for one year earlier. They arrive in '84, go to behind where
the men will be standing in the future, and return to '85.
BLAM! BLAM! The two men drop, their brains oozing out of their
heads. George and Lorraine gaze at each other passionately. Lorraine chops
their heads off with her machete for good measure and they switch into their
clothes.
They find two new time travel devices (though less sophisticated,
but using the same fuel) on these men's belts with enough fuel for 4 more trips
each. They toss the men's bodies and heads into the ravine and then take the
men's place in guarding the ravine.
Lorraine & George .
After some time of this, a car pulls into the ravine. Two men get out, approaching George and Lorraine.
"Agents 27 and 1085 reporting," says one man. "We
have information for Hour Glass. Can we enter?"
Lorraine and George, in a crazy fit, shoot both men. Lorraine chops
off their heads for her collection. Searching their bodies they find a couple
more time travel devices and pagers and inside the car they find what looks
like a futuristic car opener.
(Actually, I meant to say garage opener!)
George flicks Lee's disk into the ravine and he and Lorraine attempt
to hide the black car.
Lorraine squeezes George's hand as they go on in search for an
entrace to the WATNOT? base. She has a feeling that something big is going to
happen, but she has to face it. As they walk across the brige they see what
appears to be a great shining metal door all the way down at the base of the
ravine, around the area where the car that Hour Glass was in flew down into.
12:40 AM - 12:50 AM
George and Lorraine decide that the only way to get down into the door in the ravine is by using the car. They get in and discover the hover switch and off they go, floating down into the ravine. It's a rocky ride (neither have ever piloted a flying car before!) but they float before the door they spotted and George uses the futuristic looking garage opener, hoping that it will open the door.
Success!
The big door slides open and George and Lorraine pilot the
car through it. After traversing a long tunnel, they arrive at an underground
parking area where a bunch of cars are parked. Beyond this area is another
tunnel.
George and Lorraine park the car, and George grabs the key,
exchanging it for the garage opener. They take a look around the parking lot,
finding nothing too interesting, and then head toward the next tunnel.
As they reach the end they see a great room with a giant computer
terminal in the back. Desks with computers sit all around this room, with many
men around them. Hour Glass sits in a seat looking out to the room, massaging
his back.
"Have they found them yet?" demands Hour Glass of one of
his men.
"No, sir," says the man. "And the NIFADOT disks are
missing from the clock tower bunker, but we have reason to believe that NIFADOT
already erased the information from them in the past."
"We could have used that information," grumbles Hour
Glass. "Never mind! Brown is more important than any of that! He and his
little associate must be killed! I want them brought to me at once!"
"We're scouring time and space, sir."
"I want that time machine. It's the key to our success!
And Brown and McFly must be taken care of if we wish to prevent those damn
echoes form existing!"
George and Lorraine sneak into the room, posing as people who work
for WADOTAT, and sit down casually, trying to gain more information.
"Once I gain access to that time machine I will be able to
control the world!" cries Hour Glass. "NIFADOT will be eliminated and
then there will be nothing those time police can do stop me!"
Suddenly a beeping sound is heard from the terminal and a voice
comes over the screen.
"Agent 321 to base! We just discovered an unconscious agent at
the clock tower! And we've been trying to get into contact with Agents 27 and
1085 but have had no luck! We sent them to the ravine with information! But
they're missing!"
"Call into the guards," says Hour Glass to one of his men.
"Sir, they're not responding," says a man, attempting to
do as Hour Glass asks.
"Lock down the perometer!" commands Hour Glass, rising
from his seat. "No one gets in or out! Now!"
An alarm sounds and the room turns into an uproar.
12:50 AM - 1:00 AM
Lorraine and George try to fit in, playing around on a
computers and grumbling about echoes while they try to come up with a way out
of this mess!
George and Lorraine play around on a computer while listening to the
conversation of the WADOTAT members.
"I bet those echoes are behind this," says one man.
"Those echoes are evil! They have no souls!"
Another man nods. "I can't wait until we destroy all the
echoes! They're nothing but mindless creations! Accidents!"
George and Lorraine explore their computer. It seems a map is on it,
identifying the locations of all WADOTAT members in the current time period.
"Accoring to the map, Agents 27 and 1085 are in the
ravine!" exclaims a man.
"Have someone outside the base check it out," says
Hour Glass.
George and Lorraine try to count how many dots representing WADOTAT
members are on the screen. Spaced out over the town there appears to be well
over 100 members on this day in 1985 alone.
Lorraine, meanwhile, looks to see if there are any emergency
exits, but it seems the only way out is through the tunnel they came through.
Lorraine quickly counts all the heads in the room, unnoticed.
27 WADOTAT members are in the base, including Mr. Nixon-face.
Lorraine and George look around for a fire alarm, hopeful it will
spell their exit from doom. Lorraine spies an alarm (not exactly a fire alarm,
but close enough) on a wall, and reaches for it.
Suddenly a gloved hand grabs her hand. "What do you
think you're doing?" demands the WADOTAT member. "I've never seen you
before. What's your agent number?"
Lorraine says she's Agent 88 and proceeds to hit on the man, hoping
to charm her way out of this situation.
"Agent 88?" he asks, looking across at a computer
monitor. "Funny, Agent 88 isn't even in 1985! Where's your tracking
device? I'd like to scan your information. And besides that, you know that
WADOTAT has a strict 'no dating co-workers' policy!"
Lorraine quickly slices off the man's head off. George grabs his gun
and fires at Hour Glass. Seeing this, one of his body guards is able to jump in
the way and take the bullet. George then quickly puts in November 12, 1955 into
his time travel device and Lorraine does the same.
As guns are drawn on them, the two vanish in a flash of
light, reappearing in the same banker in 1955, now hastily abandoned of all
persons.
Biff returns home from a long day. He got beat up by Jennifer Parker
and learned his boss was dead, and to top it all off, that bug George McFly
finally stood up to him! What a horrible day. He sits down in his favorite easy
chair and grabs a beer. Two men appear behind him, touching he shoulders.
ÒWhat the hell?Ó he demands, jumping out of his seat.
ÒHello, Mr. Tannen,Ó says one man. ÒPlease come with us. WeÕd like
your assistance.Ó
Before Biff can respond he is zapped with a sleep inducer and
brought to the floor. BiffÕs limp body is dragged out of the house.
...
Jen paces the floor of her bedroom. What now? She was sure
that man she met in the park was Marty. But why was he saying goodbye to her?
What was going to happen in their future? What?
